Farming Fridays and randomness

Happy Friday!!!!!

The sun is actually out here today in the Pacific Northwest so i just went for a little walk on my lunch and soaked up a little natural vitamin D.

I like wish lists on amazon because they dont clutter up my cart and whenever i have a little extra income……hahahaha like that actually happens, i know where to go to grab 1-2 things.

Thankfully it is a brand i already use so i know my size and all that…….$31 on amazon!! How awesome is that!!!! In about a 5-6 weeks i’ll pop into the REI near me and see if they have any running shoes on clearance so i can have 2 pairs to switch back and forth with.

So as i said i have a 5k run tomorrow, yay! My goal is to be 1 minute (or more) faster than my time from December, Sunday will be yoga. Those are the only set in stone plans i have, some reading would be good.

Happy Monday!!!!!

Monday- Run 1 minute, walk 2 minutes x 10

Tuesday- weight training session with trainer

Wednesday- swim session with trainer

Thursday- spin class

Friday- OFF

Saturday- 5k and dog park

Sunday- yoga and intervals: run 1 min walk 2 min x 10

Sadly i am going to have to suspend my training (with my trainer) for a month or two once this set of sessions is over because it has put a serious dent in my credit card.  I love it and i love her but i just can’t afford it right now.

Monday- run 3 miles

Now Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday aren’t locked into a plan yet. I do know 1 day i will have a strength training session, 1 day i will have a training session in the pool and if my trainer and i can work i schedule out i will hopefully have either Tuesday or Thursday morning free so i can go to a spin class before work.

I need to make up for the lack of weekend workouts.

Friday- OFF

Saturday- spin class amd run around the dog park with Artemis.

Sunday-Yoga and run 3 miles.

TGIF/Farming Fridays

Finally Friday!!!! I’m free again, got my motor runnin for a wild weekend. (from a song)

This week has just dragged and dragged. I feel like i have had no energy and no desire to work. I have felt thoroughly unproductive.

Thursday morning i was up at that time in the morning. Got my swim workout done which was nice but man is that early.

I did Pretty good with my food today which made me happy. I had 1 snickernoodle cookie but i threw away 7-8 cookies.

Yay me!!! I bought cookie dough from someone at work who’s grandkids were doing some fundraiser. Now i am trying to get rid of them without killing my waistline. I hate to throw food away but yea.

So the farming Friday part! I am going to grow some of my own food this year, yep even in a duplex with 2 other girls.

I am going to put 2-3 pots on my deck and hope it holds along with trying to find a few places around our yard that i can container plant.  So far i have 2 different kinds of heirloom tomato seeds, heirloom sweet pepper seeds, organic sugar snap pea seeds and container corn seeds, thats right this  corn was designed to be planted in a container! How awesome is that!!!!

Thursday thoughts

And another day has come and gone. Once again work just dragged today. It is slowing down after the holidays and we got spolied with two 3day weekends in a row and are paying the price now.

Today was a day off for my from working out and i LOVED it. I was a couch potato and felt no guilt whatsoever. Now it’s 8:45pm and i am about to pass out to get up for my 5am swim session.

2nd lunch….. Lol the hunger hit and i made a delicious but un-nutritious choice.

Work yesterday dragged allllll day! It sucked!!!

My trainer kicked my butt last night!!!! I knocked out hard last night. Great nights sleep.

My food choices were mostly good lol. I ate a bag of chili cheese Fritos which didn’t sit well mid workout but thankfully i kept my cookies down….or my Fritos lol.

Monday-20 minute morning yoga video. Its like a wake up routine focusing on different areas each day. 45min bike ride, medium effort. Walk 5 min, run 2 minutes x 6.

Tuesday-20 minute yoga video. Weights with trainer, run 1 mile on the treadmill at 15min pace

Wednesday- morning yoga video

Thursday-am pool session with trainer

Friday- morning yoga video

Saturday- am spin class, run 1 mile on the treadmill at a 15 min pace

Sunday-am yoga class at gym, walk 5 min run 2 min x 6.

Post New Years and randomness

Hi!!!! I hope you had a great New Years!!! Mine was fun but too excessive.

I went out in New Year’s Eve with my roommate, we went dancing and drinking. My intention was to party and i did. I dont drink much anymore so 6 shots in about 3 hours resulted in some lovely alcohol poisening for me. I couldn’t even keep water down until about 2pm on Friday. Then i ordered a pizza and stuffed cheesy bread that i snacked on the rest of the day. Between the greasy pizza and gatorade and water i survived. But this endeavor did prompt me to decided to give up alcohol for the 2016 year. I just really don’t need it and  never feel good with the after effects. I have also gone back to being a vegetarian. I just feel so much better without meat in my system.

I am super stoked for it. It is really going to help my training and see where i need improvements and where i can back off. It’s going to be great to help me get safely though all my races this year.

Monday- i happily took today off and had some roommate bonding time.

Tuesday-bike and walk/run

Wednesday-swim in the am and bike & walk in the pm

Thursday- dance my butt off!!!

Friday- bike and walk/run

Saturday-spinning class and swim ( if spin class isn’t cancelled) if it is then bike and walk/run

Sunday- yoga and swimming in the am and bike & walk/run in the pm.

This isy last week to lose the last pound or two to make my 5lbs weight loss goal for this month.

The rest of my weekend was mostly relaxing.

I got in some workouts and Artemis is slowly getting better at hanging out with me while i workout in our little home gym.

I took her to the dog park for the first time this weekend but it was a muddy rainy mess so i didn’t take pictures.

I made blue apron mushroom and chard quiche, though i halved the amount of mushrooms they gave me and added red onion and put in an extra egg.

I really only expected one quiche and was super suprised when it was two mini quiche. I turned it into six meals!!!! All i need to do is add a small side or make my snack between meals a little bigger but man totally got my money’s worth on that meal.

Ok sleep time for me!!!!!
