I had planned to workout today but had absolutely no drive to, so i took the night off and am letting myself off the hook for it.
Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve amd my roommate C and I are going out! Country bar here we come! Maybe I’ll meet a sexy charming cowboy :):):)

I decided to enjoy a day off from my calorie counting and be bad lol.
Was freaking delicious and i loved every bite of it!!!! Of course today i ran slower than a slug.
Damn the dollar bins at target.
I had to hit target to get stocking stuffers for my roommates. We did our Christmas last night.
I finally caved and got an Eos chopstick. I like it but am not 100% sold yet.
I failed at wrapping this year.
Every year my roommate C makes ornaments for everyone who lives here my initials are on the other side.
I got this awesome comfy sweater from my roommate E. How awesome is this pattern?!
This was C’s gift to me. She bought me a luau while we are in Hawaii!!
My mom got this for me hahahaha along with a kickass REI raincoat that is super cute. Its fashionable and functional.
But i have to admit, this is what i got most excited about lol. Its a calendar!!! I’ll get new tips and facts everday!!!

Monday- i happily took today off and had some roommate bonding time.
Tuesday-bike and walk/run
Wednesday-swim in the am and bike & walk in the pm
Thursday- dance my butt off!!!
Friday- bike and walk/run
Saturday-spinning class and swim ( if spin class isn’t cancelled) if it is then bike and walk/run
Sunday- yoga and swimming in the am and bike & walk/run in the pm.
This isy last week to lose the last pound or two to make my 5lbs weight loss goal for this month.
What are your workout plans?
The rest of my weekend was mostly relaxing.
I got in some workouts and Artemis is slowly getting better at hanging out with me while i workout in our little home gym.
I took her to the dog park for the first time this weekend but it was a muddy rainy mess so i didn’t take pictures.
I made blue apron mushroom and chard quiche, though i halved the amount of mushrooms they gave me and added red onion and put in an extra egg.
I really only expected one quiche and was super suprised when it was two mini quiche. I turned it into six meals!!!! All i need to do is add a small side or make my snack between meals a little bigger but man totally got my money’s worth on that meal.
Ok sleep time for me!!!!!
Oh for a romance update i have re-signed up for eharmony so in a few weeks you should look forward to some dating hijinks posts.
How was your weeknd?
Christmas eve i enjoyed the house to myself and made a salmon pasta dish from blue apron.
Weeks later and i still love the ease with which they make cooking. I love that there is little to no excess, everything is used in the cooking.
And it is good quality.

Tomorrow i get to read through all my health benefits and figure out percentages and what insurance should be and whether it is or not. New insurance bills rolled in from my surgery which say that i am on the line for a little over 5 grand!!!! After some major panic and a conversation with my mom, some major confusion about the breakdown of my bills and some tears, i came to the realization that i get to walk step by step through every bill and charge and call Dr.s and hospitals and insurance and fight tooth and nail to get my stuff paid. Otherwise I’ll be slowly paying this off for the next 6 years. Oh goody another car payment! I want to be a kid again!!!!!!
On a happier note i have been trying to make healthier food choices. I’ve been doing oatmeal in a mason jar on the way to work, dont worry i sit in traffic im not eating oatmeal at 60mph.
Oatmeal, brown sugar and fruit. Basic and delicious.

How was your night?
So the 5k race series i signed up for had the first race this past Saturday.

It was a pretty small race which was really nice. Pretty good swag for a 5k. A long sleeve t-shirt, they put a December patch on it and will add a January and February patches and those races.
They actually had a good amount of food for a 5k as well; bagels, oranges, dave’s killer bread with butter, and some kind of pastry as well as coffee.
Thankfully my new long workout pants had just arrived from fabletics on Friday so i got to stay pretty warm in freezing cold weather.
It was an out and back course with about half of it in a park which was nice. There was one aid station on the course but because it was out and back you got to pass ot twice which was really nice. At the finish line they had gluckos water (or however that energy stuff is spelled).
Post race they had Einstein bagel egg, cheese and bacon, sausage or spinach sandwiches that were awesome!!! It was perfect for post race food!
Overall i was very impressed for a 5k and am really looking forward to the next two races.
Sunday morning my roommate convinced me to get up and go to yoga.
I am glad i went. These are the days when it is really good to have a workout partner. It made me introspective which made me a little depressed but i pulled myself out of it.

I love this!! You put treats in it and the dog can slowly chew them out.
I got a treat tin to out all her treats in!! I’m stoked about that!
This is the perfect toy for Artemis, the head is a tennis ball and the body is ropes and squeakers. Artemis can’t have anything with stuffing because she will eat it and get sick.
I swear this looks like a slim jim.
I bought probiotics from Amazon because i caught a stomach bug that is going around. Those came on Saturday so i am starting to take those to balance me out.
I did a bit of organizing and decorating of my room. I need to get settled.
