Home from my trip and the week’s recap

Back to work today!!!

The end my trip was nice, we tried to go to the gym and swim Morning but the pool was closed because the office was closed, don’t ask me to explain it cause i can’t lol.

Then we went to the beach for lunch, which sadly was dissapointing, especially considering the prices, oy.

But the dogs had a blast at the beach!

After a LOOOOONG drive home, at least it felt that way there was no way i was cooking

saturday: 30 min spin, 20 minutes misc stregth

sunday: 5 mile run

 

Not my best workout week hahaha.

Sunday Funday!!

This morning started out with a run.
Protein and honey bunches of oats were breakfast

I did 5 miles, my mom made it to about 2.5 with me.

We were a little slow lol.

I just ran out on the roads

Still pretty and great running weather.

Then mom and I went out for lunch or a late 2nd breakfast depending on what you want to call it.

Mom and I shared the pancake.
Then we drove around a bit and found Dr. Cullen’s parking space by accident

After lunch mom, stepdad and I took the dogs for a little hike.

It was pretty Flippin beautiful. 

And now I am tired so it’s off to bed!!!

Saturday

We started the day with a quick workout

Happy friday!!!
It was a good Friday, my boss brought me back a post card from Paris,  we know how I love post cards

She also brought back yummy treats to try!

Went into work early and got off early to start my drive at a decent time.

Thankfully I only got stuck in about 20-30 minutes of traffic

To clean up the lovely mess. Then it was on the road and I reached my destination around 11:15pm. Which is way past my bedtime so goodnight!!!!!

Thursday thoughts

Work was good today, very steady which made it go pretty quickly.

My awesome coworker bought me sushi for lunch, I have been craving it for awhile but have been too broke to buy it.

It was gooooooood. 

I raced home after work because we were supposed to have a showing of the house tonight that I needed to be here for. 15 minutes before they were supposed to arrive they cancelled. Sooooo annoying!

Oh well I spent the rest of the night relaxing and packing

I can’t wait to get away for the weekend!!!

My day started out with a swim workout

Then I cancelled it out with this sugary but delicious crap. Thank goodness it’s not always available in the vending machine.

I’ve been working on training schedules. Thankfully I have learned that while I work best with a schedule I also have to allow for the flexibility that is necessary in life.

The day ended with Trivia!!! And roommate discussion about what is to come. Now I’m tired and am hitting the hay.

Strength and sickness

So Monday morning I got up and went to my AM strength training and was fine we did have strength training half yoga, it was awesome.

Went to work and was ok until about 10am and I started feeling funky. 2 different bugs have been going around my work. I thought I had warded them off because they had made the rounds through almost everyone but I finally got hit. I went home around 11:30 and spent the rest of the day on the couch watching TV and dozing. I went to bed early and when I work up my stomach was still a little uneasy so I told work I would be in late and caught another few hours sleep. I think I’m on the mend and I am lucky I got it way less severe than anyone else but I still took today off training.

OK off to bed for me, I am going to attempt a 6am swim training. Hopefully I will be good to go from here on out.

Good morning!!!

Monday- AM strength training, PM yoga video

Tuesday-AM spin class, PM 1 miles run

Wednesday- AM swim with trainer, PM core work

Thursday- AM spin class, PM 1 miles run

Friday- PM core work (basically active rest day)

Saturday- AM spin class, afternoon run 4 miles

Sunday- Run 5 miles, swim 800 meters

Rest day Sunday!!!!

I turned off all alarms today and slept it. It was wonderful.

After getting up, I had a protein shake and relaxed. Make eggs for lunch

Did half on toast and half in a breakfast burrito.

I pulled out my yoga video

I did back bends and hip opensers to stretch out after the run.

I spent most of the day on the couch then Artemis and I went to the dog park for a short run around then to the store.

Got a little treat for myself but oh man am I bloated now. Note to self, too many simple carbs.
I think she is a little tuckered out from the park

I’ll be calling it an early night tonight.
6am training tomorrow morning!!

Half Marathon!!

Ran a half marathon today

After the race I hobbled home and had a little ice bath

Then met my aunt and uncle for a delicious lunch!

Happily I had leftovers for a late night snack.
