Weekend Wrap up

The rain managed to actually stay away most of the weekend which was lovely.  It hit Saturday night and late today afternoon/evening.

Last night poor Artemis didnt feel too good. Her tummy was making all kinds of crazy sounds and she wasn’t hungry. She got better though thankfully and when i woke up her food was eaten and she has gotten better and better today.

My guess is she either ate something she shouldn’t have or just had a little upset tummy. Either way it just needed to work its way out of her system which it did today.

The roomies and i FINALLY took our tree down…….yes i mean Christmas tree lol. It only took us until March..not too bad right? Lol

On another but way worse roomie note, my roommates care got stolen out of our driveway last night?! I feel so bad for her. I am so thankful my car has an alarm and GPS so the cops can track it if anything ever happens. Knock on wood.

Other sad news i own almost 5k in medical bills from my surgery in October. Insurance denied my paying more because it was an out of network provider. Oy, this being an adult stuff rocks. Thankfully i can set up a payment plan.

Artemis ran the first 1.5 miles with me then she got tired so i dropped her off at home. Shes getting over  her tummy troubles so i didn’t want to push it. 

So i workout a pretty good amount. These are the things that help keep me going. Along with pre-workout, protien and recovery but ill talk about that another day.

I also did a lot of reading this weekend which was glorius.

Good Afternoon!!!

Another Monday has come. Sorry i didnt post my weekend wrap-up. I dealt with some drama last night and was just not in the mood to post anything.

Monday- PM run: run 5 min, walk 1.5 min X 6

Tuesday- AM strength training

Wednesday- AM Swim

Thursday- AM Spin class

Friday-OFF

Saturday- AM spin class

Sunday- AM Yoga, PM run: run 4.5 min, walk 1.5 min X 9-10 (whatever it takes to get to 4 miles.

What is the opposite of thirsty thursday?

I almost didn’t get up for spin class. I already wanted to go back to sleep then Artemis cuddled up to me and i soooo wanted to skip spin but then i thought about having to tell my trainer i didn’t go and that ill be gone next week so yea….

I got my butt up and went……and wanted to die.  Spin class instructors are sadistic. But they get me to push above and beyond so yea.

Take a moment to enjoy and experience this. ……a completely empty locker room at the gym. For like a FULL MINUTE. This is unheard of at my gym.

Exhaustion does not cover what i feel. 4 workouts in 48 hours. I am so taking tomorrow off workouts. I am still going to bed early even though i get to ‘sleep in’ tomorrow.

They have these for dogs!!!! 3 flavors where on sale at target so i got 1 of each for Artemis to try. Tonight with her kibble she had pumpkin and oat puree. She enjoyed it.

It was not fully dark when i left work tonight!!!!!!!! The light is coming back!!! I am sooo stoked!

Weekend wrapup

Another weekend gone.

I felt totally fine today no stomach bug symptoms.

I didn’t got to yoga cause truthfully it sucked last week lol. My roommate C went and she said it was better so ill go next week. Artemis and i chilled on the couch and caught up on some TV shows.

After C got back from yoga we took the dogs to the park park and let them run around for about 45 min until they seemed tired. Went i say let them run around i mean half the time i chased or ran from them to get them moving. Both dogs are making progress at being more social and running around without me. Slowly but surely.

After the dog park more tv watching and relaxing. She was tuckered out

In the evening i did my 3rd couch to half marathon workout for this week but didn’t push too hard. My knees were sore. Probably from  pushing last night to PR then running at the dog park this morning. I iced knees while dinner cooked

So while i was running i started listening to season 1 episode 1 or whatever its called of the podcast serial. A bunch of bloggers have talked about it and now i see why. I am hooked!!!! I’ve listened to like 4 episodes tonight!

Farming Fridays and randomness

The sun is actually out here today in the Pacific Northwest so i just went for a little walk on my lunch and soaked up a little natural vitamin D.

Thankfully it is a brand i already use so i know my size and all that…….$31 on amazon!! How awesome is that!!!! In about a 5-6 weeks i’ll pop into the REI near me and see if they have any running shoes on clearance so i can have 2 pairs to switch back and forth with.

So as i said i have a 5k run tomorrow, yay! My goal is to be 1 minute (or more) faster than my time from December, Sunday will be yoga. Those are the only set in stone plans i have, some reading would be good.

A lazy sleepy Thursday

So i was supposed to get up and go to spin class Thursday morning but i didn’t sleep well and was still sore and fatigued from Tuesday’s leg workout so i decided to sleep for an extra 2 hours instead. Also ibwas playing it a little safe because there is a nasty stomach bug going around.

Reading has been a big theme for me lately. I’ve been bindging and i love it!

I enjoyed a pretty sunrise one day this week.

I got yakisoba!!! noodles yesterday and it was delicious!!! I feel like yakisoba sould always been said with an exclamation point LOL.
Since i didn’t do spin i turned Thursday into my rest day. I got home from work. Took the dog for a walk, because miraculously it wasnt raining!!!! Then i plopped down in front of the TV and  didn’t move until bedtime. It was nice, but very unproductive.

Tonight, Friday,  i am going to run 1 minute, walk 2 minuted x10.
Tomorrow morning is 5k race day!!!!

Tuesday- weight training session with trainer

Wednesday- swim session with trainer

Thursday- spin class

Friday- OFF

Saturday- 5k and dog park

Sunday- yoga and intervals: run 1 min walk 2 min x 10

Sadly i am going to have to suspend my training (with my trainer) for a month or two once this set of sessions is over because it has put a serious dent in my credit card.  I love it and i love her but i just can’t afford it right now.

Yesterday my ex lost his dog that he has had for 10 years. I kept him company and tried to cheer him up and be there for him. Irregardless i care about him and don’t want him to he in pain.

Pasta is a cheap staple for me lately.

And with that it is sleep time for me. I only got 4 hours of sleep last night. Yes i somehow still got my butt up and went to the gym at 5am this morning. And have a 5am swim appt tomorrow.

Thursday thoughts

And another day has come and gone. Once again work just dragged today. It is slowing down after the holidays and we got spolied with two 3day weekends in a row and are paying the price now.

Today was a day off for my from working out and i LOVED it. I was a couch potato and felt no guilt whatsoever. Now it’s 8:45pm and i am about to pass out to get up for my 5am swim session.
