Tuesday tangents

Hi!!!

Well yesterday was the first day back after the holidays and first work day of the new year. After that snow ‘storm’ aka dusting everything got icy and froze.

I had to slowly roll each window down and break the ice layer.

The parking lot at work was pretty much empty lol.

But as it defrosted my view was beautiful!!

Today’s running tip.

About 2 years ago i subrscribed to one of those monthly delivery boxes like bark box but full of girly products that were also eco friendly. It was $15/month called eco emi. I am still working my way through stuff lol. I am almost out of face wash and I keep forgetting to pick some up…thank goodness for these little extras

  On the dating front I have started and stopped talking to 2 guys so far. I think we stopped talking because i have tattoos and want more………one for sure we stopped talking because i want sleeves one day and i think the  other one pretty much for the same reason because all of a sudden he said he had a change of heart and was conservative……and no mom, we weren’t talking dirty or anything!!!!!!
The single photo i had sent was of the vine tattoo on my foot, nothing kinky about that.  Apperently it’s gonna be reaaaaaal fun this time around.

Monday Motivation**January 4, 2016

Holy crap it’s 2016!!!

Monday-20 minute morning yoga video. Its like a wake up routine focusing on different areas each day. 45min bike ride, medium effort. Walk 5 min, run 2 minutes x 6.

Tuesday-20 minute yoga video. Weights with trainer, run 1 mile on the treadmill at 15min pace

Wednesday- morning yoga video

Thursday-am pool session with trainer

Friday- morning yoga video

Saturday- am spin class, run 1 mile on the treadmill at a 15 min pace

Sunday-am yoga class at gym, walk 5 min run 2 min x 6.

Weekend Wrap-up

Back to work tomorrow after my second lovely 3day weekend in a row, i hope this week does drag too much.

My weekend was mostly spend recovering from New Year’s Eve.  I have drank more Gatorade/ Powerade this weekend than i have probably in the entire last year.

Post New Years and randomness

Hi!!!! I hope you had a great New Years!!! Mine was fun but too excessive.

I went out in New Year’s Eve with my roommate, we went dancing and drinking. My intention was to party and i did. I dont drink much anymore so 6 shots in about 3 hours resulted in some lovely alcohol poisening for me. I couldn’t even keep water down until about 2pm on Friday. Then i ordered a pizza and stuffed cheesy bread that i snacked on the rest of the day. Between the greasy pizza and gatorade and water i survived. But this endeavor did prompt me to decided to give up alcohol for the 2016 year. I just really don’t need it and  never feel good with the after effects. I have also gone back to being a vegetarian. I just feel so much better without meat in my system.

My desk at work is ready for the new year.

I am super stoked for it. It is really going to help my training and see where i need improvements and where i can back off. It’s going to be great to help me get safely though all my races this year.

Book Review**Decades

Another free ebook from bookbub. I wasn’t quite sure about this when i first started and it is very slow going, definitely not an action book.
Overall i actually really enjoyed this book. It is of course fiction but i felt like i got a little glimpse into how drastically things changed from the 40s to the 80s, especially for women. I do not envy the people of those times and trying to navigate the waters of past, present and future.

Like i said definitely not an action book but overall i found it very interesting.   

A day off

Sometimes we need an unplanned day off.

I had planned to workout today but had absolutely no drive to, so i took the night off and am letting myself off the hook for it.

Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve amd my roommate C and I are going out! Country bar here we come! Maybe I’ll meet a sexy charming cowboy :):):)

I had to hit target to get stocking stuffers for my roommates. We did our Christmas last night.

I finally caved and got an Eos chopstick. I like it but am not 100% sold yet.

This was C’s gift to me. She bought me a luau while we are in Hawaii!!

My mom got this for me hahahaha along with a kickass REI raincoat that is super cute. Its fashionable and functional.

But i have to admit, this is what i got most excited about lol. Its a calendar!!! I’ll get new tips and facts everday!!!

Monday- i happily took today off and had some roommate bonding time.

Tuesday-bike and walk/run

Wednesday-swim in the am and bike & walk in the pm

Thursday- dance my butt off!!!

Friday- bike and walk/run

Saturday-spinning class and swim ( if spin class isn’t cancelled) if it is then bike and walk/run

Sunday- yoga and swimming in the am and bike & walk/run in the pm.

This isy last week to lose the last pound or two to make my 5lbs weight loss goal for this month.
