Really interesting book. Lots of information about your cycle and how our different hormones affect us differently throughout the month. A good read.
I am excited to try fasting like a girl!

I’m conflicted about this book. I loved the original books. This one was a little weird. I understand it’s a script so it was very different but I also felt it was a little light. But that is because I was expecting even more story like the books. Overall I loved re-entering the world of Harry Potter but I wish there had been more! Hahahahaha.

This book was great. It was a slower read because there was just so much wonderful information.
Whether you homeschool or not this is a great read to get you reclaiming your kids’ childhood. It was so great in reminding me that kids are only kids for a short time, and they (and you) deserve to enjoy every minute of it.

Firstly this is a teen/young adult book hahahaha. It was a really nice, easy read after the parenting books I have been reading….and have on my pile to read hahahaha.
I enjoyed the book. I like fantasy books and books with magic. This has magic, mythology, some historical fiction all mixed in.
I would recommend it for a fun quick read.

This book had some very interesting parts! I’m glad I read it but it had a lot of dry parts. Like really dry. There were absolutely some parts I skipped and jumped over.
I do recommend all parents take a peak at this book to really see how important reading to your kids is. And spread the word to any parents you know.

I thought this book was so interesting. The author spent a significant amount of time with three different cultures in three different parts of the world and really looked at how they parented day to day, week to week, and month to month and how it affected their children. And the differences between what they do and what western societies do. It was very eye-opening and made so much sense. We as a western society have come up with all of these rules and guidelines just in the last 100 plus years as opposed to other societies that have been raising kids the same way for thousands of years.
I don’t want to give away too much about the book in case you want to read it, but I love that it wasn’t dry. She talked about her own experiences with her daughter Rosie, who she describes as a wild child.
She’s very candid about how much her and her daughter buttheads and how much they end their days in tears and yelling and the fighting. So she really was coming at this not just as an author or a journalist or reporter but as a mother looking for better solutions for her family.
All in all, I highly recommend this book.

I very much enjoyed this book. I’m finding that I really love learning about parenting practices and different ways to make me a better parent.
It is also hard though the more I read to distinguish between the different ways things I like and don’t like some of them of course say the complete opposite thing so you really have to do it feels right for you.
This book was equal parts, engaging and enjoyable, followed by some very dry clinical things to back it up. I do enjoy knowing that there’s science behind what they’re saying and studies to back it up, but sometimes they went a little too deep in the studies and I glazed over a little bit. But overall I thought it was a really good book and I very much enjoyed it.

Such a good book! So informative and eye opening. I’ve known there is a gap for men and women in everything but this really opens your eyes to the challenges women face in highschool, college and pro athletics.
I highly recommend this book for any female athlete or any parents with daughters who are or will be athletes.
I am so happy women are starting to speak up but not enough, lots of abuse is still going on and so is body shaming.

I enjoyed this book. There were some dry moments and I skimmed the parts that didn’t really pertain to me right now…like busy school mornings and homework battles.
It is a lot about how you react to the issues that come up, the attitude you have and setting yourself up for success.
I am by no means perfect so I did learn a lot from this book hahaha. I still have days that are a struggle, I still lose my cool quicker than I want but I am trying and also trying to implement some strategies from this book and I think it’s helpful.
I would recommend all parents read this.

It was ok. I enjoyed reading it but am not like ‘Oh my gosh you have to read this!!’
I liked reading about all the different races and the different conditions. The author was light and fun, I’m glad I read it but won’t ever do so again.
