April goals check-in

PROPERLY train for and run a half, full and ultra marathon, Miles needed this month: Running the half marathon, a week off to rest then start training for marathon- 77 miles Actual miles run: 2.4 miles.

I really don’t thinl the June marathon is going to happen with buying the house and getting the flu and now I have i don’t even know what. We might have to change this toba fall or spring 2019 marathon. But that is life man.

Revamp my diet and STICK TO IT!!!!

Breakfast-juice and muffin or toast and coffee (add in a protein of some sort every morning)

Midmorning snack- Slimfast or smoothie

Lunch- Soup or salad

Dinner- Anything I want as long as it is make at home

After dinner- tea or hot chocolate, popcorn is fine

How did this go? Nope. Being sick means I’m not eating much lol. And I ordered my bridesmaides dress one size smaller and managed to fit into it so yay.

Get A’s in all my classes this year. –Get off to a good start in classes well I took this quarter off to move and deal with my brothers death so no grades right now.

Drop two clothing sizes, go from a 10 to a 6. Maintain size 8 ??? Still at a 10. But a tiny tiny but smaller 10.

Stop overspending!!!! Keep no money on you, put at least $20/month in accts and at least $75 in savings Total saved: $4.

Take a few minutes every day to sit in quiet reflection, meditate, and do something spiritual. Change 5 minutes a day to 10 minutes a day and celebrate full and new moon. Out of 30 days I did: none.

Plant 3 plants a week minimum. Total number of plants planted: Lots! The one goal I met and surpassed lol.

Continue to work on and grow my relationship with Brandon- 1 weekend outing, 1 meal a week and 1 hour a week gardening together

4 weekend outings: I think we did 2 date nights this month AND went out for my birthday so 3.

4 meals: none.

Total number of time gardening together: actually together not much, concurrently a few hours lol

Read 1 non-school book a month

Books read this month: actually i have read a good dozen books with my kindle unlimited. I need to do some boom reviews.

Week 1 marathon training.

Monday- 4 miles and an attack dog when I got home. She attacks with kisses.

Delicious chicken tacos for dinner.

Tuesday- Some mild strength training in the house. Dinner was the last of my chicken tacos. 3 sets of 10 of the following (using 3lbs weights cause that’s all I had at home):

Single leg deadlifts, bicep curls, shoulder presses, chest flys, and walking lunges.

Wednesday- I am actually sore from that tiny little workout yesterday! 5 miles at the gym. 3 regular miles and 2 miles of sprints. .25 miles sprinting, .15 miles recovery. I wanted to die a little bit.

Thursday- walk with the dog and relax. I needed rest.

Friday- 3 miles with core work. I had sushi for lunch, which I love and is delicious but I tend to overeat so I was still bloated 4 hours later when we went to the gym. It took a little while to get these 3 miles done.

Saturday- Rest day

Sunday- Rest day

Total miles this week: 12! Nice improvement over last week, slowly inching those miles up!

 

 

A productive evening 

When I got off work i was in a bad mood. It was a combination of just being frustrated with work and starting my period and probably grumpiness from eating so much crap lately, thankfully that is slowly changing, but still just a bad mood. 

Anyways I sat in traffic and made it home. I got a load of laundry started and some dishes done, then relaxed with an ice cream and watched an episode of bachelor in paradise……in know how lame lol

I decided to run when the sun went down. After my ice cream I got the clean clothes hung up on the line to dry then changed clothes and headed out. 

I went out just me and my ipod shuffle, left the puppy at home. Since I was in a bad mood I knew her stopping me to smell things would frustrate me.

Got in just over 2 miles

My knees were a little sore since I’ve stepped the running back up pretty quickly, I’ve added miles and speed which you are not supposed to do, bad me. 

I need to work on that. 

Had battered fish fillets and garlic bread with bolognase sauce on it lol

I am in a better mood now. Running really is therapy.

Tasty Tuesday 

Good morning!!!! 

Last night I went home and cooked some food up THEN went to the gym. That was weird lol. There was definitely some bargaining about not wanting to go. 

Meal prep happened 

Making taco boats. 

Also threw some bolognase  (spelling?) Basically meat pasta sauce in the slow cooker to cook overnight. 

Hit the gym for a short swim

Definitely a short swim, I should have done 800m but just wasn’t feeling it and was running out of time. 

Then took my hot shower at the gym since home water is still cold. 

Then home, ate dinner

Freaking delicious!!! And the crunch of the romaine is sooooo satisfying. 

Then off to bed. This morning i was up at the crack of dawn to put the pasta sauce away and head to the gym for AM strength training. On strength training days I end up taking 3 scoops of my protien and greens before 9am. By the time I finish my last shake

I don’t want to see a protien shake again for 2 days lol

As training intensifies to 2-a-days most days I feel like I am living out of a gym bag.
