Weekend wrap-up

Cause I go back to work tomorrow morning.

My new injini toe socks came!!! I bought the color no one else wanted and got it for $3 cheaper. Love it!!! And they still work just as well.

Date night Thursday night. I fixed my hair before we went out lol. Thanks for the wrap thing mom!!!!!!

We FINALLY saw deadpool 2, at the $4 movie theater near us…….I laughed a lot and very loudly. Like I think I embarrassed Brandon hahaahaha!!!

Then we went to breakfast the next morning at this amazing place called Word of Mouth Neighborhood Bistro. I think I mentioned it a few weeks ago. We have a 30 min wait so we walked around a bit. We took his parents for their birthdays.

My breakfast…..of which there is still some in the fridge and I ate just that all day. The portions are HUGE.

They are famous for their cinnamon roll pancakes so Brandon got one to go and OMG they did not disappoint.

Then it was homework time for me.

The rest of Friday was homework and food coma laziness.

Saturday we slept in a bit then got our butts out the door for our 5 mile run.

I totally tripped and ate it around mile 2 hahahahaaha, I ended up with a sweat dirt mark and that was after I washed off in the river.

Artemis was dead tired after. I cant tell if she is just lazy from a winter of no activity or if she is getting old.

The socks were a success!!! Now I just need Artemis to not eat the toes. I have lost 1 pair of toe socks that way. And a other one just disappeared….unless she ate those too and I never noticed hahahaha.

Dinner…….running makes you hungry….I might have had a 3rd one.

Then he suffered through this with me……but I LOVED it!!!! It was so cute and as someone who has been overweight before it totally resonated with me!!!! Confidence in yourself is sexy!!!!!

I feel like I did so much and yet so little this weekend. Got two great workouts done and spent hours out of the house exploring and also spent a full afternoon/evening doing HW. But I got NO housework done, no meal prep, no canning/food saving. It was a successful and unsuccessful weekend hahaha.

We have been hot here this week, mid to high 90’s the whole time. Today we are supposed to get close to 100 then we start swinging down and are supposed to be in the low 80’s by Thursday.

Every day a few more tomatoes are starting to turn a light orange-y, pink meaning in just a few more days they will be ready to pick. Zucchini are still going strong, I just pulled 3 HUGE ones from the bottom of the bush that had been forgotten. I need to pick a few peppers and oh man, our cucumber plants are just really starting, i have 5 pint jars of refrigerator pickles in the freezer and 4 cucumbers on the counter i need to can.

I have 3 weeks left of school, the next 2 are going to be a bit crazy because i have something due every day except Saturdays. With that i can feel the garden gearing up to explode more zucchini and tomato on me and i am just praying it can hold out for 2-3 more weeks when I will be able to devote a lot more time to canning and dehydrating and preserving.

And now i need to get back to school work. I currently have A’s in both my classes and i am keeping it that way!!!!!

When you should do more HW and workout but you are tired so you stop in the middle to watch Chuck, be a dork and go to sleep early.

I slept in way too late today. I rolled out of bed at 11am. Apparently I really needed 11 hours of sleep. After finally getting up we drove to a little trail to get a 4 mile run in. I apparently misread the info about this because the little trail we did was only 1.5 miles hahaha!!! So then we moved to the streets to get in the last 2.5 miles. The downside of sleeping for 11 hours means it was HOT on our run. But we got it done.

Then it was HW time for me.

Getting down to it. Music helps me block out the outside world.

A frappachino and lemon loaf. Way more calories and sugar than I would normally go for but I needed the treat hahahahaha!!!

5 HOURS LATER, I am finally done and the assignment is submitted.

Now the wonderful BF is making me a breakfast burrito for dinner (I requested that) so i am going to go stuff my face and crawl into bed.

Hello!!! So happy it is my Friday!

I have HW to do tomorrow then I think Saturday we are going to go visit his grandparents on their farm. I LOVE where they live. I think they are on about 10 acres and have like 10 cows. I think they got 2 calves this year, I can’t wait to see the baby cows!!!! They also have a million blackberry bushes so i will be bringing homes like 20lbs of blackberries. But i’ll stop before I get carried away, you can see it all when I blog about it hahaha.

Today’s plan:

Try and get some more HW done at work to make tomorrow go a little easier.

1.5 mile run with sprints…….in the 98 degree heat (date night!!! lol)

Taco salad was the plan but instead I ate some cookie dough and homemade guacamole and was way too full. I wanted to puke a little during my run. But I got through it.

Now a movie at home to complete the date night.

And babe made some fried zucchini that was to die for!

Our first handful of tomatoes have arrived!!! Pictures to come.

I have also given away 4 zucchini this week, we still have 1 in the fridge, 3 on the counter and at least 2 more ready to pick. 3 cucumber on the counter. Time to make more pickles!

Our lettuce is also getting ready to flower and we didn’t make salad last night so i cut the tops and brought them to a coworker.

Tried to find motivation to do some HW at work today, I have a relatively easy but time consuming project due on Friday for my writing class.

I had planned to go home last night and do some HW and workout and basically just be productive, but I got hit with a wave of sadness.

10 years ago this last Monday they found a tumor on my dad’s spine and less than 2 months later he was dead. We are rapidly approaching the decade anniversary of his death and that is really hard. My family is also currently planning a memorial for my brother who died in January to have in our home town in September so emotions are running high all around.

Sometimes you just need a night cry and let it all out. I took that last night now its time to get back to it.

Had a quiz tonight for my writing class, though I think quiz was a reach, it had no time limit and was about academic honesty. I think classes just have to follow stupid rules about having a certain amount of test/quizzes……and yet somehow I only got an 80 on it. It asked about citation formatting, need I say more?

Neither of us felt great so we got del taco for dinner and watched the 2nd half of Black Panther, we started it last night but didn’t finish it. Now it is early to bed for us and hopefully we

Back to school!!

After everything this year I am finally ready to go back to school!

I am registered for 2 summer classes, 2 fall classes and will register for 2 winter classes (My school does quarters not semesters) then come February I am apply to nursing school!!!!!!! Ahhhhh it’s finally time!!!

I felt like this over the last 2 days while trying to get the right classes.

I am still trying to switch one class to another I am waitlisted on so fingers crossed. And I need to do some work schedule stuff for my fall class but fingers crossed it all works out.

This also means come fall I get to start studying for this!!!!

Continue to work on and grow my relationship with Brandon. Outing every weekend, cook dinner together, and garden together

PROPERLY train for and run a half, full and ultra marathon, Miles needed this month: Running the half marathon, a week off to rest then start training for marathon- 77 miles Actual miles run: 2.4 miles.

I really don’t thinl the June marathon is going to happen with buying the house and getting the flu and now I have i don’t even know what. We might have to change this toba fall or spring 2019 marathon. But that is life man.

Revamp my diet and STICK TO IT!!!!

Breakfast-juice and muffin or toast and coffee (add in a protein of some sort every morning)

Midmorning snack- Slimfast or smoothie

Lunch- Soup or salad

Dinner- Anything I want as long as it is make at home

After dinner- tea or hot chocolate, popcorn is fine

How did this go? Nope. Being sick means I’m not eating much lol. And I ordered my bridesmaides dress one size smaller and managed to fit into it so yay.

Get A’s in all my classes this year. –Get off to a good start in classes well I took this quarter off to move and deal with my brothers death so no grades right now.
