Road trip!!!!

It was a good Friday, my boss brought me back a post card from Paris,  we know how I love post cards

Went into work early and got off early to start my drive at a decent time.

Thankfully I only got stuck in about 20-30 minutes of traffic

Until I stopped for a bathroom break and someone made a mess while I was gone

To clean up the lovely mess. Then it was on the road and I reached my destination around 11:15pm. Which is way past my bedtime so goodnight!!!!!

Thursday thoughts

Work was good today, very steady which made it go pretty quickly.

My awesome coworker bought me sushi for lunch, I have been craving it for awhile but have been too broke to buy it.

It was gooooooood. 

I raced home after work because we were supposed to have a showing of the house tonight that I needed to be here for. 15 minutes before they were supposed to arrive they cancelled. Sooooo annoying!

Oh well I spent the rest of the night relaxing and packing

My day started out with a swim workout

Then I cancelled it out with this sugary but delicious crap. Thank goodness it’s not always available in the vending machine.

I’ve been working on training schedules. Thankfully I have learned that while I work best with a schedule I also have to allow for the flexibility that is necessary in life.

The day ended with Trivia!!! And roommate discussion about what is to come. Now I’m tired and am hitting the hay.

Strength and sickness

So Monday morning I got up and went to my AM strength training and was fine we did have strength training half yoga, it was awesome.

Went to work and was ok until about 10am and I started feeling funky. 2 different bugs have been going around my work. I thought I had warded them off because they had made the rounds through almost everyone but I finally got hit. I went home around 11:30 and spent the rest of the day on the couch watching TV and dozing. I went to bed early and when I work up my stomach was still a little uneasy so I told work I would be in late and caught another few hours sleep. I think I’m on the mend and I am lucky I got it way less severe than anyone else but I still took today off training.

OK off to bed for me, I am going to attempt a 6am swim training. Hopefully I will be good to go from here on out.

Rest day Sunday!!!!

I turned off all alarms today and slept it. It was wonderful.

After getting up, I had a protein shake and relaxed. Make eggs for lunch

Did half on toast and half in a breakfast burrito.

I pulled out my yoga video

I did back bends and hip opensers to stretch out after the run.

I spent most of the day on the couch then Artemis and I went to the dog park for a short run around then to the store.

Got a little treat for myself but oh man am I bloated now. Note to self, too many simple carbs.
I think she is a little tuckered out from the park

I’ll be calling it an early night tonight.
6am training tomorrow morning!!

Thursday thoughts

Woke up and hit the gym this morning.

Went for a little swim and forgot how to take a decent picture lol

Went to work and had a good day, 2 people were out sick though.

We had rain today which means I get to drive my waterfalls on the way home

It wasn’t raining when I left work though so I thought Artemis and I would go for a little run when I got home, then 2 exits away from home this happens

It starts pouring. Well a mile in the treadmill it is!!!!

I had salad and Gordens beer battered fish fillets for dinner.

Today was cake and ice cream day at work, they got this like 7-8layer fugde choclate cake from Costco.  I had a slice with vanilla ice cream, the first half was heaven, then I started feeling sick and by the end i wanted to puke, it was sooooo rich. Why can’t I ever just say no and throw half away? I need to work on that.

Well off to bed! Light spin and swim in the AM.

Weekend Wrap up

Let’s see, Friday night I finished my book for book club the meeting is on Tuesday.

Saturday I got up and went to spin class

Some flipping delicious local honey, I am eating a spoonful a day to help with allergies, I also started putting it in tea

I got more strawberries, and some local eggs and spring onions. I was craving eggs, I had them yesterday and today. They are half gone already lol.

The rest of the weekend for me was about reading and resting after having to deal with these allergies. How do people do this? I am feeling better. But only feel about 90%

Back on track

Sucess!!!!! The Claritin seems to be starting to work so tomorrow it is back to the workouts.  9am spin class followed by the farmers market to get some fresh local produce.

Not much to report today, another crazy day at work. I went for a nighttime walk with my roommate which was nice and finished my book for book club,  the meeting is one Tuesday. 

Artemis got really lucky with her dinner tonight, I found some leftover pot roast in the freezer that I had made last year so she got that on top of her normal kibble. Man did she scarf that down.  I tasted the broth first to make sure it hadn’t gone bad or gotten a serious freezer taste and it was still yummy. She loved it! And she went on the mile and a half walk with my roommate and I so she had a pretty good night.

OK I am yawning like 3 times a minute so it’s bed time. See you in the AM for spin!!!!

Do you feed your dog (s)/pets human food?
We have fed our pets human food my whole life. The only thing we didn’t feed our last dog was chocolate and he lived to be like 17.

And another weekend comes to close. I slept in and loved it. Thankfully it was a relatively cool and overcast day so I was able to lounge and wake up

Headed out around 11:30am. Artemis made it to 3.6 miles today another distance increase for her. Then I dropped her off and went out for another 7.5 by myself.

How was your weekend?

A full Saturday.

The last two days have been on the warmer side. Yesterday I listened to a book on tape in my car on my lunch and soaked up the sun

Got up this morning and dragged myself to spin class

It was a killer class.
Then I met a co-worker at the farmers market and walked away with a decent haul

Snap peas, strawberries, romaine lettuce, garlic cheese and some croissants for sandwiches

I had to taste test everything right?

Then my date picked me up and we went to the zoo!

You are actually pretty close to some of these animals with not much of a barrier, its pretty trippy. I will say I would totally support the animals eating some of the people that were there today. Natural selection, its like people don’t remember that these are real live mostly wild animals.
After that we went to the movies and stuck with the theme and saw the jungle book. It was actually really cute.

Now it is time to pass out. I have no alarms set!!!!! I get to sleep in for the first time in at least 7 weeks!!! I do want to be out the door by about 10am though,11 miles tomorrow!!!! I’m pretty excited!!!!
