Holiday catch up

My last few days:

Lots of studying

Mixing in some fun studying

Still continuing my Gray’s Anatomy bindge

I made the bf my favorite family breakfast, it’s basically chipped beef on toast, my dad called it SOS and he learned it in the military.

Artemis liked it too

I ordered some awesome anatomy flashcards to study from

Had another great breakfast

Really enjoying the sight of my bf’s running shoes by the door.

And 4 days in a row of running!!! Yay!

How was your Holiday?

Blue Apron day 2 and studying

Happy Hump day!!! The week is now more than half over, woot woot!!

This morning I got the call that i wasn’t needed for package delivery today…….HALLELUJAH!!!!!! My right forearm and right butt cheek have noce bruises on them from a good fall yesterday.

I got to relax and sort of sleep in this morning then make myself a delicious breakfast sandwich.

After that came studying. I was actually really looking forward to studying today hahahaha.

I got through one module then took a break and did the reading on a second module. I got up to cook my Blue Apron meal.

There are short lecture videos and activities that come with studying so I did a little multitasking

Yep, I had videos playing while I cooked.

I got through 2 entire modules and a practice midterm today.

Here is the finished food product

In the PM I started to read one of my mom’s presents to me

I am so excited to garden this year. It will be a noce break between working and studying.

And I am soooo looking forward to all the amazing meals I will be able to cook with fresh food. The amazing boyfriend has agreed to help me with the garden as well 🙂 added bonus.

Have you ever had straight off the vine/branch/stem/out of the ground food?

Blue Apron meal 1

I am stoked, I got a coupon for Blue Apron off the Hungry Runner Girl’s blog weeks ago and finally put it to use and got a Blue Apron box!

This is the first meal:

I am still in love with the labeling and how simple they make it for me to cook a gourmet meal

Searing the pork before it goes in the oven

The verde “salsa” I use quotes because to me salsa is made from tomatoes and this was not

My stove was actually respectable enough to take a photo of. The boyfriend helped me clean the kitchen this weekend

And for the finished product!!!!

Not too shabby. Now I am set for dinner tomorrow if i get called in to sling packages and if not I have an awesome brainfood lunch for studying tomorrow………even though i need the money I am hoping for the studying because I am wiped out from delivering packages all last week and today, and today I fell down some stairs while doing it and am SORE. I would like to sit on the couch tomorrow and study. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

How are things with you?

Tune in tomorrow for the next mealm

Day 2 working out in a row

Happy Hump Day!!!!!

Got my butt to the gym for the 2nd day in a row (first time in awhile that I’ve done 2 days in a row).

Did 2.6 miles on the treadmill

And 10 minutes on the elliptical.

Made it to the gym and home before the snow started, it went all day and was beautiful!

I spent my afternoon studying. I found a few free apps to help me study all the anatomy jargin (that is what i am struggling with in my personal training certification)

Coffee was of course needed for studying. I finally put to use one of the gifts my roommate brought back for me from Australia earlier this year

How cool is  that? It’s a chocolate spoon you mix/melt into your coffee to make a mocha.

I am trying to get rid of the dairy in the house and not buy more for awhile to cut out as much dairy as possible, so I made a grilled cheese sandwich

Why is sourdough bread so amazing?

How do you take your coffee?

A Wonderful Discovery

I had a good weekend with the boyfriend, we saw Hacksaw Ridge which was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend it, though it is pretty gory but an amazing story.

Then he took me for frozen yogurt, i had only been once many years ago, and holy crap this stuff is amazing !!

All the deliciousness of ice cream with toppings and less calories!!

We also went for a run, well 3/4 run and 1/4 walk

And we went slooow.

I am still a little sick and weak.

I went for a run yesterday too and i could run for about 3-4 minutes with my heartrate in its normal range then it would jump up to the 190s and i’d slow down.

Also i don’t  think I’ve been drinkinh enough water so i need to up that.

I have been eating simple and inexpensive food

I’ve also been eating less lately, except the weekends when i eat out with the boyfriend several times.

I’ve been reading more which is awesome but the life of leisure is starting to wear on me, mostly because lack of funds os stressful. But I’m kicking it into gear studying for my personal training certification.

I’ll keep you posted.

In conclusion, head to a frozen yogurt shop ASAP.

Road Trip!!!!

Thanksgiving week has arrived!!!! So off to mom’s I went. I packed up the car and Artemis and I were off.

About half way there the rain started and never stopped. The Olympic Peninsula is known for its rain

Saw some pretty Oregon beaches along the way

Artemis is wary of places that aren’t her home but she is settling in…..slowly

And to top it all off, a home cooked meal at the table!!!!

Our table at home is still piled with stuff so i generally eat at the coffee table in front of the TV.

What are your holiday plans?
