Strength and sickness

So Monday morning I got up and went to my AM strength training and was fine we did have strength training half yoga, it was awesome.

Went to work and was ok until about 10am and I started feeling funky. 2 different bugs have been going around my work. I thought I had warded them off because they had made the rounds through almost everyone but I finally got hit. I went home around 11:30 and spent the rest of the day on the couch watching TV and dozing. I went to bed early and when I work up my stomach was still a little uneasy so I told work I would be in late and caught another few hours sleep. I think I’m on the mend and I am lucky I got it way less severe than anyone else but I still took today off training.

OK off to bed for me, I am going to attempt a 6am swim training. Hopefully I will be good to go from here on out.

Thursday thoughts

Ugh apperently this is another one that didn’t post. How annoying!!!!!

Hi all!!!!

Well this morning my body continued it’s battle with this sickness by trying to empty everything out of it, sorry if that’s TMI. So i skipped spin, i didn’t want to have to run for the bathroom midclass. My stomach is still bloated but slowly recovering.

When i got home from work i took Artemis for a walk and decided to run a mile. My stomach hurt a bit but we made it.

Had a little dinner, yes i love carbs.

No i didn’t eat the whole thing tonight lol.

The plan is to once again try to spin and swim a bit tomorrow before work. They will both be easy though, no major pushing myself.

Half a sick day and my birthday

Well i woke up not feeling 100% better but about 60% better. I went to work and that 60% quickly faded down. I went home shortly after 2pm. The rest of the day was spent on the couch. And now its sleep time. I am looking forward to 9 hours of regenerative sleep.

Did mention its my birthday lol. That is how my 28th birthday was spent. But i know it could always be worse so i will enjoy the fact that i got to spend more time with my sweet dog.

And now Goodnight. 

Sick day

Ugh i woke up just before 3am and was running to the bathroom. I’ll spare you the gruesome details but safe to say i stayed home sick today.

I made one trip out of the house to a safeway down the street to get some chow mein and replace my roommates ice cream that i finished off. The entire 20 min trip left me with a blinding headache and the desire to vomit regardless of the anti-nausea pills and ibuprofen i took.

I am lucky enough to have some anti-nausea pills left from being sick over winter.

Ok 5 second rant. Do you feel guilty when you take a sick day? Heaven forbid you take more than one?

I hate that i live in a society that makes me feel guilty for taking a day or two off to take care of myself. Or maybe its not society, maybe its just me who feels guilty, in which case i need to work on that. Its hard to take the time to rest and recuperate when you are worried about your job and feel bad.

Do you feel the same or am i crazy?

Weekend Wrap up

The first weekend of April 2016 has come to an end.

So beautiful but soooo exhausting! It was so crazy this weekend. And i am definitely fighting something off. I feel on the verge of puking almost all the time and have headaches. I am upping all my vitamins and have some anti-nausea stuff left from winter so i am going to take that before bed.

I had my stuff with me so i managed to get in a little swim workout after my shift at the festival

Yep chips and soda, thats the kind of day it was at work. I definitely think i am fighting something off. I woke up in the middle of the night last nighy very nauseas and feeling like crap and i had a headache all day that ibuprofen is barely denting. I have also had that slight pink to my cheeks that accompanies a fever. Uh oh.

In a happier note i made my 2nd blue apron dish of this week and it is SUPER delicious!

Monday- I am taking today off to rest and relax.

Tuesday- AM spin class

Wednesday- RUn 6 min, Walk 2 min X 6

Thursday- AM swim with trainer

Friday- OFF

Saturday- Trail 10k race!!!!!!!

Sunday- OFF

It is an off week for me, starting the work on the weekends wiped me out as did the time change and i think i might have the edge of something so i am mostly taking it easy. One easy week in the hopes that nothing gets worse.

Weekend Wrap-up

Noooooo tomorrow is Monday!!! It’s back to work. Who came up with this 5 day work week, 2 day weekend thing? What genius decided that? They should be tarred and feathered……and stoned.

Ok rant over.

Today really wasn’t too exciting lol. After having been out a lot yesterday i stayed in and ready today…..all day….it was wonderful.

After 10 years i think i am going to have to replace my duvet couver soon……thats a duvet cover right?
Letting Artemis sleep on the bed i am sure hadn’t helped.

So i had been talking to 2 guys and have now let them both go lol. Dating today is a sad state of affairs. 1 of them hadn’t wanted me to date anyone else even though we hadn’t even been on an official date yet and the other one hadn’t read a book since high school and had never been in a Barnes and Noble………….yea no. I am a book fiend so that did it right there but there was so much more.
I am now going to take a little hiatus from dating. At least a week, probably 2 or more.

I didn’t work out this weekend because my stomach is still bugging me. I have been taking 1-2 probiotic pills a day which is sort of controlling it but i don’t feel like its ridding my body of it just yet.
Will it never end???!!!

Shopping Saturday

Hi!!!

I slept in this morning. Took it easy on my body so it can fight off whatever is now going around.

I met a friend at the mall and we did some shopping. We both did pretty well as far as bang for our buck (suddenly wondering where that saying came from…….)

Got home and took Artemis to the dog park

I didn’t chase her as much as i normally do but she still got a little energy out.

Then i read for a little bit and met  a date for coffee…….oy. Tonight pretty much made me want to give up on dating. I won’t go into all the details but yea. I wonder if i will ever find someone.

I think it might be time to take a little dating break. I’ll keep you posted.

Yay Happy Friday!!!!!

Well there is some kind of GI thing going around so i left work at 4 and went home to relax and tale probiotics.

This means that once again i will miss my race and have to run my 5k at home again.

To help the day pass i listened to some podcasts.

I am still obsessed with the serial podcase.

I also started listening to the criminal podcasts.

Just signed up for StixFix!!

I can’t wait to get my first stixfix box!!!!

So this weekend i need to run a 5k, take Artemis to the dog park and rest read. What are your plans?
