TGIF!!!

Happy Friday!!!!

Are you looking forward to the weekend, because i am !!!!!! I dont have any amazing plans or anything, i am going for my first short run tomorrow with my doggie, hopefully she doesn’t trip me. Then i am helping my friend pack. The boyfriend and i are hopefully having dinner together on Saturday (his work is crazy so i never know fo sure until the night of), then Sunday is just me and Artemis hanging out.

Made a delicious Blue Apron meal, Lentil Bolognase (probably not the right spelling) It is flipping delicious!!! I had it for lunch yesterday and today, I also have a full serving in the freezer and like a half a serving in the fridge to snack on this weekend!

I added some extra noodles i had to make a little more.

I was really impressed with this meal.  I will definitely be making this one again.

So stoked to have 3 workouts in the bag so far this week!!!! VERY happy to be back in workout mode, though i am starting slow and building back up.

Happy Monday!!!!

Monday- first training session post surgery at 7:30pm!!!!
Tuesday- 45 min on recumbent bike that we have at our house.
Wednesday-off (want to make sure I’ve kicked the cold and don’t over do it)
Thursday- training 7pm
Friday-Off
Saturday-2.5 miles run with Artemis (my dog)
Sunday- long walk with Artemis

Hi!!!! The weekend has arrived!!!

It was a long day, i broke down and got skittles, this is how i eat them. A small handful at a time and i sort each handful by color/flavor.

When i got home i did a bit of spanish.

I got some amazon deliveries.

I am listening to this right now while i read. It is natural sounds like the ocean, a steady rain, birds in the rainforest etc.

And this is what i am currently reading so look for a book review on it in a few weeks.

I know, it sounds like a seriously exciting night? How do i keep up with this hard partying at my age, well years of practice lol.

I have decided that i will adopt mama (the dog). My roommate has conveyed this to the owner and now we wait. But she now feels like my fur baby and i want her with me asap!!!! I will keep too posted.

Ooooooh i am stoked i made my first post surgery training appt!!!! Monday November 16th i will be working out upper body. I can’t wait!!!!

And i cant wait until mama and i can get out and do some runs/walks together!

I hope everyones day is going good 🙂

Today is my Friday, which rocks, but it also means i have to get everything ready for my co-workers and tie up all loose ends becuase i will be out Friday, Monday and Tuesday due to surgery and recovery. (Hopefully that is all i am out).

So last night i made my first Blue Apron meal, Shrimp Perloo.

Everything came pre-labeled and pre-portioned.

The directions are super easy to follow

My mom and i prepped everything together. Then i did the cooking and plating.

They send you good quality ingrediants.

It was delicious!!

I read the reviews before i made it so i knew to only use about 1/2 the spices they sent becuase it had a bite to it. I really liked it but my mom, who has no tolerance for spicyness, her eyes were watering a bit hahahahahahaha.

And i am excited it made way more than neccesary. My mom and i both ate until we were full then i packed some for lunch to eat today and put one meal’s worth in the freezer for later. So i got 4 servings out of this!!!

After dinner i hopped on the stationary bike and my mom walked on the treadmill for about 43 min…….aka one episode of grey’s anatamy hahaha.

I am being good and eating fruit today…..though i might have some Annie’s mac and cheese for a snack this afternoon.

Have my last training appt tonight (until i am healed up from surgery) at 7pm.

Have to check in tomorrow at 6am for surgery.

I will try and post tomorrow afternoon if i am not too loopy from the pain meds hahahaha.

Its Thursday!!! Which means tomorrow is Friday!!!!! Gotta look on the bright side right?

That made me laugh so i had to put it in. And it is totally true.

My trainer kicked my butt Monday night. Tuesday and Wednesday I felt it in my thighs and glutes!

Spent some time being a pedestrian lol. Dropped my mom’s car off to get the oil changed then walked the rest of the way to work, then walked back to the dealership at lunch. Thankfully i rememebered to not wear heels that day hahahaha!

I have been pretty good about my snacks so far this week:

Tonight my trainer kicks my butt again.

Tuesday i counted my walking as my cardio hahahaha and wednesday I did a sort of HIIT workout on the recombent (did i spell that right) bike at my place. I watched some TV while doing interval training.

AHHHH my mom comes into town tomorrow, i am so excited! Yes i am totally a mama’s girl, i miss her!!! and on top of that holy crap we going car shopping, i am buying my first car!!!! Don’t judge that i am 27 and buying my first car lol.

Mom is staying through to my surgery next weekend. Can’t wait to share all the trouble we get into with you!!!

Vancouver Rock and Roll Half Marathon

Hi!!!!!

Happy Tuesday!!! I am currently recovering from my weekend, i drank more this weekend than i think i have in the entire last year combined, and now i remember why i gave up the majority of my drinking.

Feeling this bad and this bloated and fat actually makes me so excited to start training for my next half marathon!
I just signed up for the Vancouver, BC rock and roll half marathon.

Last year my friend Brandy and i trained for and ran the Portland rock and roll half marathon

And i loved it!!!! They give out awesome medals

And provide great in race and post refreshments, i was very impressed.
So on the 6th i start my training.

My training method is from Tom Holland’s book and i love it, its very gradual and helps decrease injury.

Anybody want to train with me? I start monday and the race is October 25th.

Monday Motivation**June 1, 2015

Happy Monday everyone!!!

After a long weekend i figure it is good to get back on track with fitness.

I love pinterest for fitness motivation.

Last week i did my bikini body workouts but i missed a day or two due to moving and today i start work back at my great job so i need to re-learn how to fit my workouts into a 9-5 job….or 8:30-5:30 as it would be and getting to deal with traffic on my slight commute. Wish me luck! Ill keep you posted!

Monday Motivation**May 25, 2015

Howdy all!!!!

The best way to keep my goal of being fit again is to keep it in the forefront of my mind. I already talked about putting motivational pictures on my phone, which i like most people look at a million times a day, and that is going great.

Now i am taking it a step further. I am setting up a reward system.

This is obviously to help me lose my initial weight that i have gained back and then some.

And to keep me going long after that.

I think this will be a great way to buy new fitness gear and other things i need to stay motivated to stay in shape.

Another thing i need to do but haven’t done yet is set up a motivation board. These seem tl be insanely helpful. Since i haven’t done it yet i pulled some examples from google to give to and idea. They can range from simple tl complex, whatever you need to motivate you.

Weight update

Hi everyone!!!

So i have been home about, what 2.5 weeks? Wow thats it, it feels so much longer. Anyways since i got home i have been doing a mixture of insanity, jogging and the elliptical machine, mostly the elliptical machine. I have also been tracking my calories, not religiously but I’m trying and I’ve lost 4 lbs. So I’m down to 153. I’ve still got a minimum of about 10lbs to go but I’m on my way!

Sparkpeople is really working for me to track my calories easily and i am loving puting my fitness motivation pictures on my phone and changing it every week so i don’t get bored or stop really looking at it.

Having motivating pictures on my phone is perfect, i see it EVERY time i look at my phone and that is huge. I strongly suggest puting something motivating where you will see it to help you reach whatever goal you are aiming towards.
