9 miles and a stitch fix

Hi!!! Happy Saturday! 1 more day at the Tulip festival and I’m free!!!

I worked just under 5 hours and came home to run 9 miles!
Artemis made it 3.25 before she didn’t want to continue. It’s not much of an endurance improvement for her but it’s something lol. Then I went on to do another 6 miles after I dropped her off at home.

I listened to a book on tape while I ran.
When I got back from my run my Stitchfix was waiting for me! After a much needed shower and some relaxation it was time to try on clothes!

This was the first top, it is cute but was a little tight in the boobs lol so it’s going back.

Top #2 was this which I really liked but I know I don’t NEED so it’s going back because I am short on funds.

Next was this black jean/corduroy stretchy jacket which was ok but I don’t love it and it is a smidgen small in the hips and boobs so it’s going back.
Now for the 2 things I am keeping

These shoes!!!! They are wedges so they are heels but aren’t as hard on the feet.

And these dark wash jean legging things. They are skinny jeans, super stretchy and even have an elastic type waist band! They are super comfortable  and super cute and flattering!

I told my stylist I needed stretchy fashion legging things because as my leg muscles grow jeans become more difficult to wear and she totally delivered!!!!

And I love the shoes because I love wearing heels but don’t want to strain my feet and back (any more than necessary with working out lol) and these are way better than stilettos or something like that.

An exhausting Saturday

Artemis and I got up at 6am and ran.

We ran through a cute little park near our house and found this super cuteness!!!

Somebody ran her first 5k today! Not in an official race or anything just her, me and the Garmin.

After work I went to cook park where I loved to run when I lived in Tualatin and did 5 more miles! I was dying by the end. And was soaking wet because it poured off and on. That is 8 miles total and 4.5 hours on my feet at the farm. It made for a long exhausting day. It is 8:45 on a Saturday night and I am in bed about to pass out.

Thursday thoughts

Ugh apperently this is another one that didn’t post. How annoying!!!!!

Hi all!!!!

Well this morning my body continued it’s battle with this sickness by trying to empty everything out of it, sorry if that’s TMI. So i skipped spin, i didn’t want to have to run for the bathroom midclass. My stomach is still bloated but slowly recovering.

When i got home from work i took Artemis for a walk and decided to run a mile. My stomach hurt a bit but we made it.

Had a little dinner, yes i love carbs.

No i didn’t eat the whole thing tonight lol.

The plan is to once again try to spin and swim a bit tomorrow before work. They will both be easy though, no major pushing myself.

Blue Apron, planting and reading

Happy Wednesday! More than halfway to the weekend! Today was my first full day back at work this week. I’m not 100% better but I’m like 85-90% better. When i got home i took Artemis for a short walk since she’s been cooped up since our run on Saturday due to me not feeling good.

She still knows she’s spoiled though hahaha.

I made my last Blue Apron meal from my box last week. Enchiladas. Sorry i failed to take prep and cooking photos.

This has a fair amount of mushrooms in it and i dont quite love the taste if mushrooms in most things except ravioli and marinated and grilled button mushrooms but the flavor of the enchiladas totally masked the mushrooms which was perfect for me, i get the healthy benefits without having to taste them.

These are some seriously full enchiladas. I brought 2 for lunch and ended up eating half for lunch and half for dinner.

I went to target on my lunch to get some planting stuff and found some great oatmeal on sale for practically nothing.

This box has 8 instant oatmeals in it for $2.58!!! I got apple cinnamon and maple brown sugar. For $5 i now have lunch at work for the next 3 weeks. I can throw some fruit or nuts in to spice it up if necessary. Sometimes i LOVE target.

I transplanted my first tomato and pepper start. I figure ill transfer 1-2/week and see how they fair.

Half a sick day and my birthday

Well i woke up not feeling 100% better but about 60% better. I went to work and that 60% quickly faded down. I went home shortly after 2pm. The rest of the day was spent on the couch. And now its sleep time. I am looking forward to 9 hours of regenerative sleep.

Did mention its my birthday lol. That is how my 28th birthday was spent. But i know it could always be worse so i will enjoy the fact that i got to spend more time with my sweet dog.

Blue Apron

Well this was supposed to post on Thursday but i guess it didnt lol.

Hiii!! I hope you are all well this Thursday.

I overslept for the 2nd time this week. I missed spin class so the goal is to wake up early tomorrow amd spin and swim. No spin class so ill bring headphones and rockout to Pandora lol
I don’t know if i just need more sleep (which would be difficult to accomplish with my schedule) or if I’m fighting something off.

I am really proud, 3 out of the 4 weekdays so far i have taken Artemis out for a walk that is a record high for us and i plan to continue it.

Random Saturday stuff

It is 7:45pm and i am exhausted. I am sitting in my room tearing up while watching the wedding in Breaking Dawn part 1. Don’t judge lol. Exhaustion makes people more emotional. I’ve always loved the wedding in this movie and ibwas watching Charlie walk Bella down the isle him totally tearing up and i just got that sad I’ll never have that moment. For those that don’t know my dad died almost 8 years ago some days it still hurts like it was yesterday.

Ok enough with the depressing.

Another 7+ hour day working at the tulip farm. It was a beautiful day so the festival was PACKED. Today was the busiest day they have had in the 32ish years they have been doing this.

As soon as i got home i changed into workout clothes because if i sit down i am not getting back up.

Artemis and i got out and ran 2.5 miles in the beautiful day.

My right foot really hates it when i stand on it for 7+ hours then run over 1.5 miles on it.

Yay!!!!! My peas and corn are starting to sprout!! Not much action from the onions and potatos yet though. Fingers crossed.

Easiest healthy dinner. You saute whatever veggies you have in the fridge then pour some bottled pasta sauce over it.

Add a little basil and cheese and shovel in mouth because you are starving and starting to crash.

Then pass out from exhaustion.

Another satisfying Saturday

Well my last alarm didn’t get off this morning so i work up about 45 min later than i wanted but thankfully i still have plenty of time. I ran a trail 10k this morning, which was actually 5.5 miles because some of the trail washed out and was being repaired. I will review the race in another post.

Then i had the house to myself which was so nice.
I watched the last hunger games which i had yet to see

And i made my second blue apron meal this week. Delicious quiche.

First time i have ever shelled peas lol.
I made a few changes to the recipe, i put the shallots in the quiche and some of the pea shoots in as well instead of making the accompanying salad.

I actually had to put them back in for an extra 15ish minutes to cook longer.

And now goodnight.

Saturday happenings

Day 1 of a very exhausting 7 weeks.

Except for the 3 days i have races i will be working Saturday and Sunday for the next 7 weeks at a tulip festival. I am working 7 hours a day along with my normal 40 hour/week job and my training.

Today was my first day at the festival. 7 hours on my feet which is not something i have done in a very long time. It is fun and doesn’t really feel like work which is nice but man is hard on the body until you get used to it.

They have booths and rides and obviously tulips and u-pick fields and all kinds of stuff.

I tried to pack a lunch but ate it as a snack so i got a garden burger for my lunch.

My feet were already crazy sore when i got home and my body was exhausted but i needed to run and i knew if i sat down i wasn’t getting back up. So i had a quick snack and Artemis and I set out for a run. My goal was 6 miles but by 2 miles my feet were alternating between feeling like they were on fire and sharp pain so we headed home. My 6 mile run became a 2.5 mile run.

I am very thankful that i have the ability to stop myself so i can recover and not seriously injure myself. I have so many races planned this year i will not let pride or stupidity get in my way.

Dual workout and barkbox

Woke up at 3:30 this morning!!!!! Though i laid in bed and played on my phone and cuddled with the dog until 4. Hit the gym and did 20 min the water.

I knew it was going to be a hard day when i rolled out of bed this morning  and was sore all over from training and running yesterday.

My waterbottle was at that point where it was starting to get gross so i broke down and out it in the dish washer. Bought gatorade at the gym

I tried to be good and not go overboard. The first half was delicous then i started feeling horrible but eat these kinds of sweets so infrequently that i forced myself to finish it and felt bloated and gross for like 2 hours. Old habits die hard.

My new vitamins arrived. I track my food in myfitnesspal and one of the things it has shown me is that i never hit my daily calcium goal so i will start taking these a few days a week to combat that a bit.

It is always interesting to see what Artemis is going to like toy wise and what she is going to ignore. Anything Artemis doesn’t want Jasper, my roommates dog, will eventually adopt as his own.

I am feeling a little lonely tonight. I miss having a boyfriend, i miss having my girls around for dinner dates and coffee dates. I am doing a lot better with my  breakup and getting back out there but some nights i still get really sad and lonely. Mostly when i disappointed by the state of men and dating today and get depressed that I’ll never find someone.
This too shall pass.
