It’s supposed to be my long run day

The boyfriend and I were planning on running but the sidewalks were still pretty icy. 

So sadly the run didn’t happen today. I’ll also admit that I didn’t rush off to the gym to run on a treadmill since I might be helping deliver packages all next week and I was pretty sore after one day so I didn’t run. 

Other news, as I think I have mentioned I am originally from southern California and am an In’n’out burgers lover but from east coast people i have heard that 5 guys is way better. I finally tried it to compare

I do not see the hype, it is in no way better than In’n’out.

Long but Fun Day

I woke up around 8:30 this morning and planned on hitting the gym, but last week i signed up to be a drivers helper for a delivery service and this morning they came a-calling. After 7 hours of running packages this is my state of mind

I finally tried this weird oatmeal thing i got as swag at a race, it was a quick dose of food which was awesome but oatmeal applesauce is odd. 

It didn’t taste bad but it’s not something i would get on a normal basis. But I was able to suck it down in between stops so major props on that and it kept me going for awhile. 

After work the boyfriend took me out to a buffet for dinner becuase i was STARVING!!!! 

Then we watched Star Wars number 4, a new hope in preparation for the new one tomorrow. Tonight is the first star wars i have watched all the way through……

Amd now it’s time for me to pass out.

December Ipsy bag

Once again for $10 I got a little treat, and it couldn’t come at a better time. 

It came in a glam bag, perfect for New Years Eve, if you are going out. 

This is what it came with:

Radiance renewal mask, can’t wait to try it

Excited to see how this dark green color looks on my brown eyes

Eyeliner, the color is iris so it should be a nice dark color within being overly dark like last months black eyeliner 

Not sure how i feel about this. I like shiny lips over matte, but I’ll give it a try

Last but definitely not least, I’m really excited about this, I am always looking for a great hair product that will enhance my curls and ease frizz. 

Results of last month’s ipsy:

I liked 3 of the 5 items. The black eyeliner was waaaay too dark on me and the lipstick/gloss was a weird pink that i didn’t like. But I liked the mascara, the nail polish and the face serum. All in all it’s still a bargin for 10 bucks. 

Day 2 working out in a row

Happy Hump Day!!!!!

Got my butt to the gym for the 2nd day in a row (first time in awhile that I’ve done 2 days in a row).

Did 2.6 miles on the treadmill 

And 10 minutes on the elliptical.

Made it to the gym and home before the snow started, it went all day and was beautiful!

I spent my afternoon studying. I found a few free apps to help me study all the anatomy jargin (that is what i am struggling with in my personal training certification)

Coffee was of course needed for studying. I finally put to use one of the gifts my roommate brought back for me from Australia earlier this year

 How cool is  that? It’s a chocolate spoon you mix/melt into your coffee to make a mocha. 

I am trying to get rid of the dairy in the house and not buy more for awhile to cut out as much dairy as possible, so I made a grilled cheese sandwich

A Semi-Accomplished Tuesday

I got up and got my butt to the gym by about 9:20. I did 2.1 miles on the treadmill but forgot to start my watch for almost a quarter mile lol.

Then did 5 minutes on the elliptical and was out of breath hahaha. 

Even though I have listened to it before, I am still obsessed with this book on tape and am listening to it again.


I called into my seasonal job and they didn’t need me today so i got the day off. 

Then it was a nice 2nd breakfast of an omelet on sourdough toast with hot sauce. 

I took a test online for a temp agency but my laptop is old and stupid so i got a lower score than i could have, though i still met the global average. 

Since i couldn’t take the other 3 tests until i borrowed my roommates laptop when she got home I studied a bit for my personal trainer certification 


 and watched some Grey’s Anatomy 

Then the man came over and i made us some gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and salads. 

We watched some Game of Thrones, he is catching me up, and played some bored games.

Thursday: PM strength and 3.75 miles @ tempo (12:30)

Friday: OFF

Saturday: Spin class then swim 700m

Sunday: 9 easy miles then yoga

Any fun plans this week?

A Wonderful Discovery 

I had a good weekend with the boyfriend, we saw Hacksaw Ridge which was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend it, though it is pretty gory but an amazing story. 

Then he took me for frozen yogurt, i had only been once many years ago, and holy crap this stuff is amazing !!

All the deliciousness of ice cream with toppings and less calories!!

We also went for a run, well 3/4 run and 1/4 walk

And we went slooow. 

I am still a little sick and weak. 

I went for a run yesterday too and i could run for about 3-4 minutes with my heartrate in its normal range then it would jump up to the 190s and i’d slow down.

 Also i don’t  think I’ve been drinkinh enough water so i need to up that. 

I have been eating simple and inexpensive food

I’ve also been eating less lately, except the weekends when i eat out with the boyfriend several times. 

I’ve been reading more which is awesome but the life of leisure is starting to wear on me, mostly because lack of funds os stressful. But I’m kicking it into gear studying for my personal training certification. 

I’ll keep you posted.

In conclusion, head to a frozen yogurt shop ASAP.
