Happy Monday!!!!
My goal this week is to run every day. Even if its only a mile, i just need to get out there and get some some miles in.
What are your goals this week?
Friday i wanted a light healthy lunch so i got salad rolls from a place near work
And since it was payday i also enjoyed some Starburks
Saturday my cousin was in town and we went on a little hike.
This is us Pre-hike
It was pouring rain so i left my phone in the car. I pulled a few images from Wikipedia to show you a little of our hike. It was beautiful
After the hike we looked like drowned rats lol
We did 5 miles with something like 1600ft elevation gain. It was a little tough but awesome.
The rest of my day was spent enjoying a movie marathon with the pups.
Today was meal prep, making dog food, doing laundry and dishes.

I actually really enjoy meal prep
I remade a meal that i had gotton from helloe fresh a few months ago
And decided to make chicken enchiladas
All assembled before i put them in the oven
My pan seared chicken
I used broccoli instead of broccolirabb because my local safeway didn’t have it.
The presentation isn’t super pretty but the enchiladas, rice and beans taste great lol.
The rest of the day was cuddling with the dogs.
Wednesday is the anniversary of my dads death and i am already having an emotional time of it. We’ll see how this week turns out.
I miss him so much.

I was supposed to head to the gym tonight but my training partner called it off so i got to cleaning and got almost the entire kitchen organized
Got the counters cleaned
Today was sweets day at work
I balanced it by having a healthy lunch of homemade turkey and veggie soup
Tonight i also got fresh sheets on my bed and im going to pin curl my hair tonight.
Overall i feel like i had a very productive night. I love nights like this where i get a lot of stuff done.

Well my run at lunch didnt happen. I went to the bathroom to change and low and behold i had forgotten a sports bra, now I have DDs so a sports bra is a must. So there was a change of plan, i sat back down at my desk and proceeded to spill my lunch (chili) on my pants.
After eating i went out to my car, rolled my windows down, laid my seat back and listened to a book on tape for 30 min. It was soooo beautiful i didnt want to go back into work, but i did. Sometimes it sucks to be an adult lol.
Anyways i came home and changed to go out for my 3rd attempt at a run today
It was perfect weather outside
There is a nice little path not too far from my house
Check out all the cookies in my cookies and creme protien powder
Then it was dinner time, i am in between paychecks so that means im broke and living off leftovers and things i already had in the freezer/pantry. Tonight was a feeezer meal
Fish fillets and onion rings.
Tomorrows lunch is leftover turkey and veggie stew that i froze a few months ago. Thankfully i made a vat of it lol.
While dinner was cooking and after i got some chores done around the house so i am going to fall asleep tonight feelijg very accomplished lol

Does anyone else scrape by with odds and ends to eat until payday?
I used to only love Autumn but now i am seeing the dark side, and i mean literally the dark side.
I woke up at 5:40 to get my butt out the door to run at 6am and it was still dark out, like fully dark.

This is not a picture of where i live but you get the gist.
While running in the cool dark would be amazing, doing it alone, especailly as a female is scary. If i had someone to run with it would be awesome and do able, i would just bring a light but alone i feel like i am more likely to get run over or kidnapped or murdered.

So i went back to sleep and brought my workout clothes to go for a run at work because on the plus side of Autumn the day will be cool enough for me to run at lunch.
Now that we have gotten the bad part of Autumn and Winter for that matter out of the way, here are some of my favorites.

Starbucks is a must
A little stop at a wildlife safari
Some of the animals get sooooo close
Our hotel room was pretty nice
It was one of thise extended stay marriot kind of places
In ‘n’ Out! I introduced in n out to someone, my life mission is complete lol
We also hit a winery and got some AMAZING pear wine
A little ice cream and chocolate stop in Ashland and we headed back home.
It was a really fun low key road trip weekend. I look forward to the next one, I’m thinking the coast in a month or 2 when its nice and stormy.
Monday came way too soon.

I relaxed at lunch in my car listening to a book on tape
Got home from work and went through a few boxes looking for my personal training book. Then hit the gym at 7:30 to work out with a friend.
My arms and legs are a little shakey now, which means job well done.
Then relaxing and eating came next
Somebody else loved their dinner just as much as me
Maybe even more.
And a little dallas cowboy cheerleaders training camp with the roommate.
And now its bedtime!!!!
What was your workout today?
I am trying to reset my gut with a con cleans, probiotics and healthier food.
After work I went home and puttered around the house a bit then headed out for a super short run to shake my legs out after the hike and not running last week since I didn’t feel good.
Running hurt, my calves and lower back were really sore but totally felt good to run.
Have you ever done a colon cleanse?
This book was interesting and I didn’t see the ending comeing. This was definitely a slow moving book, though that worked for me since I don’t always pay 100% attention to the books when I am running or working.
Overall I liked the book, I like slow build books just as much as jaw dropping books.
