Book on Tape review

Yep this is the series True Blood is based on.

I have watched the entire series. I was through i think the 4th or 5th season of the TV showe before i ever knew there was a book series. This is book one, I got it during a sale on, you guessed it, Audible.

I enjoyed the book, i was supprised at how closely season 1 followed the book. There were of course differences, one major one is that Tara is not in the books, which for me was awesome because her character in the TV show was always pissing me off!

This was a fun read, easy to engage in while running or work or driving, doesnt take a lot of focus. I would suggest it for anyone who liked the show or enjoys this kind of genre.

Weekend wrapup 

I kept my entire Stitchfix box!! I loved it all and so did my roommate. We’ll be sharing some of the clothes hahahahaha!!

This morning Artemis and I went for a little run

I took us down by the river again, this time because it was warm, thankfully not as hot as the last 3 days but still warm so I took us down to the water to cool off a bit. I fell on the way down, graceful as ever lol. This is me resting afterwards

I’ll pull through though. 

By the time we got home it was a little warm

Update on the dryer, i got the lines wioed down so we are now successfully back to the 1800s

Sometimes it takes forever 2 dry!!! I got 1 load washed and dried as did you roommate. We will have to conserve clothes to make this work until we get a replacement dryer all worked out. 

A few more boxes got unpacked and some dishes done and put away. Slowly but surely we are settling in. 

How was your weekend?

No long run this week either

Next week, no matter what I HAVE to go for a long run. Even if it’s hot and I have to do a few miles in the morning then do the rest at the gym or something. 

 I have given myself 1 hour this morning to have some breakfast and relax then I have to get out and get at least 4 miles done and I can maybe add a few tonight. 

It’s difficult because I feel like I have so much to do, but I need to run to A) stay sane and B) you know train for that little marathon I have coming up lol

Once top of needing to unpack our new place has no dishwasher so I am trying to slowly make it through all the dishes and Tupperware that I’ve had sitting in boxes so I can get them cleaned and put away…..OH MY God dishes take soooo to dry. And our new washer and dryer…..well the washer works, the dryer stopped during the first load and won’t start again. Gotta figure that out but that means no laundry. 

We do have a line in the backyard 


But apparently you are supposed to wipe it down before you use it…..this is going to be interesting.  

On a happier note I got my Stitchfix and LOVE it! So does my roommate lol. She is going to buy the box with me

Sorry for the ranting I’m just in a mood. And since the kitchen isn’t unpacked I’ve been eating crap fast food and way too much of it which I know does not help my patience and happiness. 

She passes out during the heat and refuses to help. 

Sunset Run

I slept in this morning as previously stated so I had planned on going to the gym tonight but realized I might see someone I don’t want to, nothing bad I just don’t want to deal with this person if I don’t have to so I came home and waited for the sun to go down then headed out for a short run.

I came home and iced knee, it was feeling a little funky

And cooled off with a popsicle 

Oooh on another happy note it was ice cream day at work!!

Now I need to shower and get to bed so I can hit the gym in the AM.

How are your workouts going this week?

I ran Tuesday and Wednesday morning, this morning i slept in so i will be dragging my butt to the gym tonight to do some weights. My goal is to get in, do some weights and get out. I want to be quick and efficient. I need to get some leg workouts in and some arm workouts. I am not too worried about my abs because that tones as i run and do all the other stuff.

I miss weighted squats!!! Who would have thought?! Moving has thrown my whole schedule off so i am trying to get a new schedule set. Also i am dating someone so that is taking up some time. Got to balance the life!

Also i really need to find my book to study so i can start working on my personal training certification. Unpacking will be a serious theme this weekend.

Now send me some strong will to only have 1 scoop of the ice cream that will be served and work today.

First full day back at work

Thankfully it wasn’t crazy busy so I was able to make sure I’m all caught up and good to go. Also it’s super nice that it was my first full day and tomorrow is ready Thursday!

Loooong weekend! Pt 2

Slowly but surely we got things sorted 

Took some trips down memory lane before finally tossing a lot of things……I think I’m a mini hoarder.

We now have everything crammed into the new place and need to go through it and organize, put things away, throw away/donate more

Yesterday I went for my first run post move and after eating so much crap and not running for 2 weeks

That is also my new cube storage, how cute is it???!!!

Book on tape review

This book was super fun because she has such a GREAT attitude and wit. She is funny! And of course i love listening to almost anything in an accident. You also get to hear from her trainer and his perspective and at the end she has a section where other people she has run with tell their stories.

It was good, fun, light hearted and great to listen to when running. Listening to her talk about her parts jiggling when she ran, while I ran was awesome. It is great to know that other people out there are also not perfect when they run.
