Monday Motivation**May 28, 2018

If you are looking for a healthy cookbook Skinny Bitch is it! So far I love every recipe I have tried out of it. It is vegan but don’t let that scare you, the food is GOOD!!!! It is totally for the masses not just for Vegans.

It’s been another great workout week for me! I took last Sunday off then did a workout everyday Monday-Thursday. Friday we went camping so I got a little bit of a workout setting up camp which was about 1/3 of a mile from our car and we hiked it a few times on trails.

Saturday was great and we did a little hiking then the day took a terrible turn when my dog ran away (more to come in another post) and we spent hours looking for her. Thankfully it turned out ok in the end.

Sunday- we Did a little walking around and broke down camp and the evening was spent relaxing after an extremely emotional and exhausting ordeal.

Randon stuff and California again

I got a new watch strap…..after 2 straight years mine was starting to smell a little funky.

Our new bed came and he got it all put together!!!!

Did a puzzle with my mom while she was in town.

Not a bad sight for my morning commute.

Met my friend Amber in Weed, CA for a little girl’s trip

We spent some time hunting a killer.

Drank a little wine and had a lot of girl talk.

Did some hiking

Had some great views.

Northern California wants to be it’s own state.

Had to stop on the way home!

Trip to southern California

It’s been a minute since I posted, a lot has been going on here so there will be a few posts coming.

First let’s talk about food. Found some food carts near my work.

Can you say flipping delicious!!!!!

Then it was off to cali!

We did some beach walking

And some friend visiting

And some drinking lol

The main reason we were in Cali was the wedding of my oldest friend! I was honored to be a bridesmaid.

Getting all done up for the wedding

How amazing is that dress!!!!!

I can’t believe I’ve known her since i was 2!!!!!

Then we did some family visiting. He met several family members for the first time.

My family loves to play tile rummy.

Then it was back home and back to real life.

Take a few minutes every day to sit in quiet reflection, meditate, and do something spiritual. 10 minutes a day, full moon and new moon and celebrate May Day!! Which is today.

Plant a minimum of 3 plants a week.

PROPERLY train for and run a half, full and ultra marathon, Miles needed this month: Running the half marathon, a week off to rest then start training for marathon- 77 miles Actual miles run: 2.4 miles.

I really don’t thinl the June marathon is going to happen with buying the house and getting the flu and now I have i don’t even know what. We might have to change this toba fall or spring 2019 marathon. But that is life man.

Revamp my diet and STICK TO IT!!!!

Midmorning snack- Slimfast or smoothie

Lunch- Soup or salad

Dinner- Anything I want as long as it is make at home

How did this go? Nope. Being sick means I’m not eating much lol. And I ordered my bridesmaides dress one size smaller and managed to fit into it so yay.

Get A’s in all my classes this year. –Get off to a good start in classes well I took this quarter off to move and deal with my brothers death so no grades right now.

Drop two clothing sizes, go from a 10 to a 6. Maintain size 8 ??? Still at a 10. But a tiny tiny but smaller 10.

Stop overspending!!!! Keep no money on you, put at least $20/month in accts and at least $75 in savings Total saved: $4.

Take a few minutes every day to sit in quiet reflection, meditate, and do something spiritual. Change 5 minutes a day to 10 minutes a day and celebrate full and new moon. Out of 30 days I did: none.

Plant 3 plants a week minimum. Total number of plants planted: Lots! The one goal I met and surpassed lol.

Continue to work on and grow my relationship with Brandon- 1 weekend outing, 1 meal a week and 1 hour a week gardening together

4 weekend outings: I think we did 2 date nights this month AND went out for my birthday so 3.

4 meals: none.

Total number of time gardening together: actually together not much, concurrently a few hours lol

Read 1 non-school book a month

Books read this month: actually i have read a good dozen books with my kindle unlimited. I need to do some boom reviews.

Let’s talk about food!!

Oh my gosh how I love having a kitchen again!!!! I am loving cooking!!!

Salads are making a come back in my life.

A little veggie stir fry using yakisoba noodles from the grocery store (teriyaki flavor) then added any veggies I had in the fridge that needed to be used up.

Homemade guacamole!!! This will be happening a lot this summer I think.

Beef straight from the farm!!!!

Another meal kit I will be cooking up this week.

Brandon made breakfast for me this weekend. I cook most of the time but when he does he blows me away! This was so good and had amazing flavor! I think he used pepper and garlic salt and who knows what else. And on rosemary bread, oh yea!

Someone gave me a donut at work last week, YUM

Last weeks dish! I may have had it for a few meals cause it was delicious.

My garden is growing

In our backyard we have a holly tree, we are going to trim down a lot of it because it like almost everything else is a little out of control but I love it! What great decoration! Come Christmas time I am going to deck my house out in Holly!!!!

Black Beauty zucchini has survived the transplanting process, I think 4 of my 5 plants are thriving, the 5th is still touch and go.

Sugar snap peas! Also doing great, we are going to grow them up the fence.

Our pear tree is starting to grow!! Look at all those little green nubs! I am stoked cause for like 2+ weeks it didn’t do anything and I was a little worried.

Just bought this to accompany the vegetable bible book my mom gave me. So now I know what to do and when then the book my mom gave me a few years ago goes in depth on each plant. They work great together!

And I bought my first gardening hat. Currently I am only outside like 2 hours a week so I am not wearing it yet ( I need all the vitamin D I can get) but come summer this will be my skin’s best friend!

Can’t wait to keep sharing more with you!
