Lunch was leftover mac and cheese from a blue apron meal.

Last early to bed for me because after 4 days of hard training i was exhausted!!!! And i  am so excited that today is a rest day!!!! I think i might read tonight

How is your week going so far?

Back to the Grind.

I so did not want to come home from my weekend away. It was so nice to just sit in limbo. No work, no being dissapointed at how much my boyfriend is working. I just got lost in book after book surrounded by my family.

I was happy to get back to the gym tonight though. It is the first night i have felt strong since my surgery. Like i might finally be getting back to really working out.

I just want mid-january to come and hopefully things can be good again. Boyfriend’s job should slow down i should be full force working out again by then.

It’s just been a rough 6 weeks and i still have 4 more semi-rough ones to go if I stick with it.

On the plus side i drank 8 whole glasses of water today!!! It’s been awhile since that happened.

Also my trainer and i set the difficult but attainable goal of me losing 5lbs my the end of the year. Thats is 22 days!

Book review**The Rosary Girls

I love murder mystery novels, trying to figure out who did it and cut through all the red harrings. Some can be a bit too gruesome though. This was pretty perfect on the gruesome scale, there was enough there for detail but not enough to skeeve me out.

No, this is not a literary masterpiece but it could hold up against the famous murder authors.

It is a thick book but keeps you interested from page one. Definitely a good for fun read, but that is it, just for fun. You won’t better yourself in anyway for having read this, but you won’t be worse off either.

The plot was fairly predictable, it had a bit of a divinci code feel but not as good as The Divinci Code, though i didn’t see this perticular killer coming.

What is the last book you read?

Any recommendations for me?

TGIF!!!!!!!

Hi!!!! The weekend has arrived!!!

It was a long day, i broke down and got skittles, this is how i eat them. A small handful at a time and i sort each handful by color/flavor.

I got these for meditations but they are also just super peaceful.

And i cant wait until mama and i can get out and do some runs/walks together!

The Future

Hi everyone!
Well I still haven’t started subbing. I’ll be calling the school for the 15 millionth time today to check in. Timing is running short and money is very scarce but I know things will work out. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can at least get a few weeks of work before I go.
With all my free time I have been reading a lot on my kindle and watching way too much tv.
I will admit my spirit has been pretty low the last month because I feel like I am accomplishing so little and my lifestyle is so much less active than I was in Oregon.
But I read a book on my kindle that I had bought months and months ago about a year on a sustainable family farm in Illinois.
It really brought me back to me and my dreams, reminding me what my ultimate goal is. After these 4 crazy adventures I have planned I want land and a farm and a family.
This is the 3rd book like this I’ve read and each one just feeds my dreams and desires.

Here are some photos from the book off my kindle.
The book I read before that was the dirty life lol.

This one was about a newlywed couple who rebuilt a farm and started an all encompassing CSA (community supported agriculture) program that ran year round and also supplied meat, cheese, maple syrup etc. Their goal was to make grocery shopping almost unnecessary for a family.
The first book I ever read like this was called Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. I blogged about it a few years ago.

It’s amazing how much a book can influence your life. Just look at the PCT, I didn’t even know it existed until I read Wild about 2 years ago.
Have you read anything lately that has inspired you?

Talk to you soon!
