Seattle Rock and Roll 1/2 marathon 2016

Up early Friday morning to catch a cab to the nearby town center. There I took the transit system

I got a bag full of samples and swag from the Expo.

After the Expo mom and I got a light lunch then took a taxi to our Air B&B accommodations.
We had some fun mishaps trying to take a bus to find some food

After 2 buses and probably a mile and a half of walking we settled on the next restaurant we walked in front of…..I know GASP, eating someplace unknown the night before a big race, thankfully it all workout ok.

I went with the simplest thing possible.

After dinner we headed back, got everything ready for my race the next morning and passed out.

Friday came a day early

It was Thursday but it’s happy Friday for me!

I’m using a vacation day tomorrow to take the train to Seattle. Rock and Roll half marathon is on Saturday

Remember that coffee farm I visited in Hawaii?

Well I looked it up and I can ship their coffee to me for super cheap! They use flat rate envelopes so I ordered some and it arrived today!

My coworker and I carved out a little area to make our yummy coffee!

Today was dessert day at work and I indulged just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth

Wednesday wonderings

More than half way through!!!!!! And tomorrow we are having strawberry shortcake at work which I am super stoked for.

Then I went and ate pizza for lunch, the second time in less than 7 days so I wrote myself a little reminder

To much pizza does not make me feel good.
After work I hit the gym for a swim……it had been at least 3 weeks since I swam! I struggled for every meter,  really need to build that stamina back up

I was slow as rocks in a a stream. But I got out there and did it and that is all that matters.

Good morning!!!!
Yesterday was Monday Motivation but let’s tell you how the day went.

Good start to the day, I had my vega protein and greens shake and added bolthouse farms smoothie stuff too it so it was like chocolate cherry. 2nd breakfast was honey bunches of oats and almond milk.

I was still pretty good. I had a salad and left over Mac and cheese for lunch

But then the sugar craving hit

I can’t wait until I have my own place and my own clean kitchen so I can make some healthy treats. I am a sugar fiend and don’t anticipate that changing.

Came home and got it a quick run

Yay for bright colors so I don’t get run over!
Started the first sookie Stackhouse book (aka trueblood) it was on sale on Audible.

I was too hungry to wait for dinner so I ate in courses as it was ready hahahahahaha

She is so freaking cute I can’t stand it!!!!

My heart feels like it is going to burst sometimes when I see her. I love this little girl more than words can say. I am so thankful to have her.

Monday Motivation **June 13, 2016

This picture really hits home for me right now. I’ve been taking more days off than normal lately. I’m feeling a bit burned out. I think after my half marathon this weekend I might take a full week off then really buckle back down.
After that it’s the triathlon in September and the marathon in October then I’m taking at least 2-3 weeks off.

So that being said, here’s the plan for the week

Monday- ran 2.15 miles

Tuesday- OFF

Wednesday- Swim 800m

Thursday- spin class

Friday- walk 1 mile

Saturday – Rock and Roll half marathon!!!!

Sunday- OFF

Book binge day 1

I finished the Terri Blackstone book and The lady of the rivers,  I had about 1/3 of each of those books left

I started outlander book 1 and am half way through it and I watched the first 2 episodes of the TV show on Amazon.com so far it follows the book quite closely.

I have literally been reading all day. From about 8-8:30am I went to the grocery store but the rest of the day was spent on the couch with my nose in a book or watching an Episode of a book I was ready. I would guess I’ve read about 500 pages today and watched 3 hours of TV shoes. Now it’s time to pass out. Good night.

Today was spent at work, eating and nursing my sunburn

I met a childhood friend who was in town for dinner with her boyfriend. 
She and I have been friends since we were 2 or 3 years old. She’s basically like a cousin at this point, she is an honorary member of the family.

I am currently eating on a budget until payday.
