Ok not nothing, I did a 1.5-2 mile walk with the kids in the stroller pretty much every day but I was feeling really tired and a smidge burned out after almost 3 months of building back up after pregnancy and then starting marathon training so I took a week off and enjoyed my sleep in day on Saturday. I slept for 12 hours! I needed it. Now it’s time to get back to it.
The longer my mileage gets the less I want to press play on any kind of strength training. I need to start finding shorter strength workouts as my mileage increases. I can go back to 30 minutes strength workouts after the marathon.
Thursday – 3 miles
Friday – 2 miles – these were hot miles right in the middle of the day while I got the kids tonight from the stroller.
This was promoted as a fun run which always tells me it’s not going to be perfect lol.
This was a cute small town run. About 2 miles of it was done on a trail which was really nice. They had 4 aid stations but you passed one twice for a total of 5 and with the sun and heat it was needed! It was a nice race, small and slightly miscalculated on the distance hahahah. My watch put it at 5.93 miles
But this was a great run for me to make sure I was on track in my marathon training and it was $10!!!! Who can beat that?
All in all except for it being a hot 4th of July it was fun and I would love to do it again next year.
