What should I do?

Hi everyone!! So I have somewhat of a dilemma, I love doing this blog and connecting with you guys and sharing my journey with you but I have hit the space limit on this blog. I currently pay $100/year for this blog, which i don’t mind since I love doing it. But since I have now hit the GB limit and it doesn’t increase each year when I pay I can either stop uploading pictures and videos (which yea right, we all love the visual stuff), i can go delete old pictures from some of the first posts i did but i will have to slowly keep deleting old things to make room for new things ( I don’t really like this idea either) or I can move to a different platform. I have been slowly moving some of my videos to YouTube and copying the link on here already. Would you guys be interested in subscribing to my YouTube instead and I go to all videos? To keep going as I am now on here, it would cost me $300 a year which I can’t really justify since I am just doing this for fun and not making any money off of it.

What do you think?

Fall 2018 school week 2

Week 2 done….mostly. Only 8 more weeks to go not including finals. It still amazes me how fast quarters fly by compared to semesters.

My psych class is more interesting than last quarters because it deals with a person from life to death and all that encompasses their life which is a little more geared to nursing than my last psych class was. Overall though it is still a little boring. This week we are learning about the period of conception to birth. Lots of talk about genes and chromosomes so far.

This is week 2 of muscles and we are getting more in depth. I would say i am comfortable with about 1/2-2/3rds of what is required for my practicum next week. I can find most of it on diagrams and spent 2 hours of lab getting comfortable with where things are on the models and how to differentiate because the models are not the clearest things. Then I spent 10-15 min in the cadaver lab making sure I could find most of the muscles on the cadavers with some degree of confidence.

Let me tell you 10-15 minutes in there is very different than 3 minutes of introduction. After about 10 minutes breathing in all those chemical fumes really got to me and i got lightheaded and felt that hot cold flush so I stepped out, the last thing I wanted to do was faint in there. I took a few deep breathes outside the lab then went back in to get a quick look at the body that was positioned on their posterior side as i had been working with the anterior model. Those are some really harsh chemical fumes with not much ventilation.

The cadaver lab is definitely invaluable as a learning tool but it is really hard to deal with all the emotions, they sneak up on me.

Here is a train of thought for most of the cadaver lad period, yes this is pretty accurate:  oh i am looking at the actual rectus femerous cool! and that is the vastus medialus and vastus lateralus, i got this, where is the adductor longus, oh its right there next to some pubic hair ohhhh hair, this was a person, who is dead…….and oh man the professor is now moving muscle around to try and show us the adductor magnus which is burried down in there oh man that is a little gross but cool but weird…….ahhhh too much to think about and oh man is that smell overwhelming…… oh lets try the other cadaver to see if you can see it better nope, not really, oh good so that definitely wont be asked on the practicum if even he cant find it, uh oh i feel a little light-headed and weird, get out now before you collapse. GO!!! Ok deep breathes, take a minute and get back in there! But pay attention to how you feel. OK i am ok, oh is that the trapezius and the gluteous maximus and the gluteous medius and the piriformus, look at me identifying these! OH that smell, so that is the rhomboid major, is that the levetae scapular? oh man, the smell, it is now so much worse, my nostrils are on fire, oh the tricep brachii ok i think i am done, need to get out. where does this instrament go? wash your hands, oh what is everyone looking at…….oh fetuses in jars in the cupboard, wow that is cool, oh man so sad……so so sad, dont want to think about it. time to leave.

I was definitely woozy, shakey and a little nauseous afterwards. I took it easy all night after lab. It is difficult to digest all the feelings that come with the cadaver lab but I am still so thankful that i get to experience it.

I feel like I am keeping up and on track but don’t feel like I’ve gotten ahead yet this quarter and with all the wedding things I might not get ahead, we will have to see.

Happy Fall!!!!!

I don’t know about you but fall is my favorite season!!!! Pretty much the best time of the year for me. The cool, crisp weather, of course the amazing clothes, Halloween, Thanksgiving and soon my wedding!!!! I have been happily slacking on my workouts lately but with school starting back up today I am going to be busy, busy, busy! Which means I will actually be scheduling in workouts again so they might actually happen! Ill let you know how my first week of school goes!

Stitchfix for my Honeymoon!!!!!!

Ordered a stitchfix for my Honeymoon and I love it all!!!!

Good dark colored jeans that I can dress up or dress down. And this comfy top with the great back cutout!

This sexy but classy top. Which I can totally wear to work as well!!

This fun jacket.

And this AMAZING skirt!!!! I’m totally in love with this lol

They were amazing with my budget as well so I am ordering a 2nd box!!!!!

These are NOT my wedding dress!!!

Hahahahahaha, I thought I would share a little of the shopping process with you.

I really didn’t expect to find my dress on day one in shop one, But I did!!! Sorry, but you dont get to see it until after the wedding. Cant risk the hubby seeing it before. But here are some of the ones I didnt choose.

I liked this dress. It was pretty and romantic. But it just didn’t do anything for me shape wise. No body shaming it just wasn’t wasnt right for my hourglass figure.

We nicknamed this one the boob dress hahahahaha for obvious reasons. I love love loved the blush color. I loved that it was whimsical and romantic but it was too much cleavage for me and too much dress lol

This was the only ‘true’ ballgown I tried on. The back was stunning but again way too much dress for me. The hips actually had extra padding in them!!!! I have my own hips, I don’t need help in that area hahaahahaha!!!

Here is the one thing I did get that you can see. This beautiful headband that is rose gold just like my ring.

I can’t wait to get married!!!!

Pre-nursing exam prep

How’s it going???

I have finally started doing a little bit of studying for the pre-nursing exam. I should have about 7 months before i take it but I need to review pretty much EVERYTHING. It has been many years since I’ve been in high school.

I ordered the pre-nursing test prep from Amazon. I took the practice test at the beginning to gauge where you are…..ooooh I need a lot of refreshing in math and science. No surprise I am amazing at reading comprehension, book worm party of 1!!!!

I have been starting to review the math and doing online little tests

I have a ways to go lol. Currently I am averaging like a 75% I need to get that up to like 98%.

What’s up with you!!!

3 weeks till school

Hi!!!!!

I have been done with my summer quarter for about 2 weeks and I have LOVED not having school work to do!!!

Taking 2 classes, a full time job, with a commute!, add in trying to keep your relationship happy and healthy and manage to see your friends once or twice AND lose weight is rough!!!!

And this quarter I am adding in a lab lol.

We might be going back to some simple videos here soon, we will see. Somehow I find more drive and time to do this blog though when I am really busy with school hahahaha!

Our marathon is in just over a month, my longest run so far is 6 miles but I did to Portland to coast and over that weekend I did about 11 miles and didn’t die so that makes me happy. I had good stamina during that so I can happily report that doing my beach body workouts has definitely helped as well.

I’ve been eating a lot of salads. Babe made salsa chicken so lots of taco salads and since we have tomatoes and basil from the garden this is pretty much a daily occurrence

We popped into the state fair this weekend

The 4H kids are sooooo cute!!!!

More to come soon!!!!!

How are you????

MIA

Sorry I have been MIA! Was slogging through my last 2 weeks of school. And now I am finally free!!! 5 weeks of glorious nothing! Well at least no school work. 2 of those weekends Brandon has football games at his Alma Mater or however that is spelled. So I will have 2 days if binge watching TV hahahahaahah!!!

My psych grade has been posted, got an A woohoo!!!! Now just waiting for my finalized writing grade. Its gonna be close. I am right on the cusp on a B and A, I am really hoping she will give it to me…..we shall see.

Also this happened:::

We’re engaged!!!!!!
